Epcot for the under 10 crowd

My DH and I love Epcot but our kids have only been for a few attractions. We have 3 DS: 8,6,2 and want to spend more time there this trip and looking for your must do list besides typical SOarin, test track, nemo

Maelstrom is a must. The kids really liked pin trading in Epcot, they didn't trade too much elsewhere, there are just a lot more cast members they interact with at the KidCot stations and such.

Also love Turtle Talk with Crush. My DH and I enjoy this too.

Spaceship earth. You make your own city and you can email yourself the video at the end. We still watch ours years later.

Also have fun in Innoventions east and west.

As you can see we love EPCOT a lot.

My 7 year old informed me last night that Epcot is his second favorite park, after HS (shocked me - I thought MK would rank in the top 2). Now, his answer might change tomorrow, but he loves the Nemo ride and Soarin'. My oldest son loves Test Track, Soarin', and (I think) Mission: Space. And we all enjoy meandering around World Showcase.

My kids are 10, 8, 5, and 3. We love the rides.. besides Soarin and Test Track, everyone loved Spaceship Earth, Living with the Land, the whole Imagination pavilion, everything in the Seas (be sure to see Turtle Talk and the rest of the exhibits). They liked Innoventions, especially the fire game. Club Cool is a big hit, too.

In World Showcase, the Mexico boat ride is their absolute favorite. But Maelstrom is great, too. There are lots of characters to meet. My kids liked looking around in China, Morocco, and the Japan the best. Trying out new sweets is a big hit. The trains in Germany! The little one loved those. They liked the bands in UK and Canada, and my little guy had a great time dancing for the Mariachi band.

We did a few of the Agent P missions, but it was hard for them to all hear/see on one phone. They were really cute, though.

Epcot is definitely entertaining for the under 10 set, its just not as obvious as MK.

To add to what everyone has said-- there are Kidcot stations around the world showcase. The kids work on a craft project, and get a stamp from each country.

These have all been very helpful ideas. We are going the week of thanksgiving and want to have ideas as we plan to do some half days there.

I was talking to my kids about Epcot at breakfast because we will be there next Monday. The following is what my 6 yr old DD was getting excited about:

EPCOT is our favorite, but I think it depends on the child.

Nobody mentioned The Land pavilion - I think my son could spend the whole day there, lol!! Garden Grille is one of my favorite WDW restaurants, too.

My son could play around in innoventions for hours. And we usually have a whole day just for World Showcase if we can swing it.

I just got back from a trip with my 8 yr old and we split it up. We spent the first day at the land and seas and then the 2nd day we went around the world. My dd had a lot of fun doing the agent p adventures. And while we were in that country we saw their attractions and tried some food from there. It was a lot of fun. Also the kids crafts are fun. We didnt bring the younger sisters who are 6, 5 and 3 but i know they would have enjoyed it just as much as she did. That will be a future trip. I had the baby who was 3 months at the time so we didnt get to do soarin and the other ones.

My DS when he was 6 loved the World Showcase Players troupe. We just stumbled upon them in the UK and he loved it.
Lots of characters in WS (Mulan, Aladdin, Jasmine, Pooh etc)

My kids were 5 & 6 when we went. The loved EPCOT . . . we didn't do Agent P, we didn't do most of the KidCot spots. They just loved the different countries and seeing new things.

They loved The Land, we rode through that a few times. We garden at home, so it was relevant to us. We also did the Behind the Seeds tour and they loved that.

The Mexico ride they loved. Weren't big fans of Maelstrom, but would do it again. Did a few of the Character M&Gs throughout the park. So much, they feed off your enthusiasm.

My nearly 3 year old had a blast. He was too small for some things, but we found lots to do. There are cars in the TT exit area that he loved playing in. The sea pavilion. The innovation areas. Club Cool. Spaceship Earth. The agent P coloring areas. Exploring the counties. The trains (Germany?). All the rides and shows he was tall enough to ride, including maelstrom. We're planning at least 2 days there again since he's tall enough for TT, MS, and Soarin now.

I think so - it depends how young. There are so many characters to see as well. All of our kids love EPCOT - we always do at least 1 full day there plus 2 other partial days.

Lots of things that my boys love have already been mentioned, so I won't mention them again. Additionally, there are 2 games in the Innovations area that my kids love and always have to play. One where you are armed with a laser type gun and you identify fire hazards in a house (you race against another family) and then one with a pig where you are learning to save money. Both are kind of cheesy to me, but for my kids it makes them feel like they are in a real life game show. lol

I also give props to the Agent P fun in the world showcase. HOWEVER, (at least when we did this 2 years ago), be aware there are a limited number of "cases" that can be active at one time. We did 2 different scenarios, and both times we checked in but were told we had to come back at a certain time to start the adventure. Plan ahead and check in early to ensure your little one is not disappointed. Once started, it was a lot of fun for our kids.
