EPCOT for just two rides, maybe an After Hours?

Has there ever been an EPCOT After hours Event? If not, is it possible to get an 'after 5', 'after 12pm' or similar 1/2 day park pass? Would we be better off park hopping?

Our family is considering a pre-cruise Sunday at Disney (ship departs Monday morning). The only 'new to us' things are at EPCOT - Remi and Guardians of the Galaxy. As non-drinkers we usually skip this park, so spending half a day or an After Hours event would enough. Is that possible? Would it make more sense to get a one-day ticket just to park hop over to EPCOT to try the two new rides? We can always spend time at Magic Kingdom, but there isn't anything new for us there.

I'm assuming I'll need to get Genie + and use the ILL for Guardians and Remi. So it would be the cost of a one day ticket ($143) with Genie+ ($15) and any ILL ($11) possibly times two (total of $169pp or $180) or we could do park hoppers ($206) with Genie+ ($15) and any ILL ($11) possibly times two (total of $232pp or $243). After hours would, oddly enough, be the cheapest option ($129/$139pp) but will that option even be a choice?

There is (if it ever comes back) an Epcot after 4:00pm pass for FL residents only. It is the only offering like you're talking about that I am familiar with. There is not "day" or MYW ticket of this type that I have ever heard of. Actually, now that I think about it; it seems I remember there being one but even if there was, it was a relatively long time ago.

In December of 2019 we got after 12pm park hopper passes. In Feb 2020 we got EPCOT after 5pm passes (not Fl Residents, but we were with a conference). So it wasn't really that long ago - just the Before Times.

The Extended hours for Epcot (not a separate ticketed event) have been occurring on Monday nights. Of course, that could change.
The Remy ride was cute, but I personally would not spend all that money just for 2 rides. It sounds like you are not really interested in spending time at another park first, so again I would save my money for something I did want to do on the cruise or elsewhere.

The Epcot Extended Hours for deluxe hotels are on Monday nights. Obviously that doesn't work if your cruise is leaving Monday.

From what I have read, you do not need to buy G+ to get the ILL's. They are separate systems, so if both those rides are still on the ILL system, you can just buy them.
