Epcot for a short evening visit?

We are arriving Sat. late afternoon. We have ADR's at Le Cellier for 4:55 but I honestly don't think we're going to make it. By the time we check in and stuff, we'll probably be hitting 5pm. So anywho I thought we'd go ahead and do a short little jaunt over to Epcot for a little bit. We won't be out late since we have 2 little ones, and we'll be tired from the drive.

Would there be any advantage of going to Epcot for a little bit, over another park? Like any attractions or whatever that might be pretty smooth because its at the end of the day, or is this actually a bad time? Should we just take a dip in the pool and call it a day? I have not been to Epcot since my Grad Nite trip, so I don't know what "crowded" is there!

Well, if nothing else you could do some of the lesser-crowded attractions, so you can focus more on the new hot ticket rides on another day. Soarin' is the big new thing at Epcot, you could try and nab fastpasses for it on your way into Epcot, and they might be due before you leave - tough to say, the fastpasses might all be gone by 5pm on a Saturday night.

You can hit Universe of Energy, Spaceship earth, Imagination, etc... get those out of the way one night, then you can come back some morning and go after Soarin', Test Track, and Mission Space without worrying about doing the other Future World attractions. The food and wine festival is also on - that's always a good way to spend an evening!

You may find it somewhat crowded in Epcot - it'll be a Saturday night, the F&W festival is going on, and I *think* a couple of local FL schools are on break around that time.

Honestly, though, if I was just coming off of a long drive, and had a whole vacation in front of me, I'd probably just chill, get some nice dinner, and be ready to hit the ground running the next morning.
