Just booked a last minute trip to the fort next weekend. I just couldn't wait till our Halloween trip. Anyone know how busy it is right now? Do you think the Epcot Food & Wine Fest will be crazy if we go on the first day (Friday the 28th)? My youngest has a baseball game on Saturday so we are going on Thurs and need to leave on Saturday morning (2 nights.) So, do you think we should bother going to Epcot on Friday the opening day? Or should we just go "looping" and drink coldies? What are your thoughts????
PS- Anyone know what day Ms. Sundee sings (we missed he back on our June trip) It just wasn't the same.

I will always opt for looping & cold ones!!!:thumbsup2

The F&WF is not one of my favorite events at Epcot. All the booths clog up the walk-ways, and it is tortuous to smell all the wonderful food being cooked!!

Of course, if you go looping, there is always someone grilling a steak or burgers-which is equally as tortuous!! :lmao:

I disagree with DES. F&W is GRRRRREAT. But looping is fun too. Both can involve beer 7 wine

Last year the first day of the festival were packed! The cash machines were not working and the lines were awful. I would go "looping".

"Looping" is driving around in your golf cart through the loops in Fort Wilderness. We love looking at peoples decorations, motorhomes, TT's and set ups. It's fun.

Thanks!!!!!! Thats what I was wondering. If its CRAZY then I dont think I want to go. This year opening day is on a Friday. Do you think the day time will be less crazy then night time? I know they have Extra Magic hours this night too.

this past weekend. She is there everynight except Sunday and Monday.
I believe she said the second week of October, around the 14th or so, she will be off as she is having visitors in town.

the fiver is here, but i had a devil of a time getting into a spot this weekend. I think I took out the last remaining peacocks, along with 4 mailboxes, a small otter and just about anything else in my way.

LOL! Been there done that. They take a few times to get the hang of em. They track completely different then a regular trailer. There are more sites than not at the Fort that I don't even bother with em.

are you still going the end of october? I'd take some pointers if you are around. I'm trailer-capped.

I always schedule our Food & Wine Festival day according to who is performing in "Eat to the Beat". Al Stewart will be there on that day, so if it was me, I wouldn't miss it.
