EPCOT Food and Wine Festival, Sept. 25 - Nov 16 2015

I have this fear they are going to book us for the dessert party on the night of our BOG dinner reservations which would tick me off to no end.

She is now checking with her manager.
We had BOG dinner reservations at 4:30 the same evening we had the WISHES dessert party (which I'm assuming will be somewhat similar albeit different desserts)......I no way thought we would be hungry for desserts.....and I was wrong,

:hyper: <------me after the Dessert Party.

I can't believe how botched this whole thing was

Agreed. I think I now at least have our package sorted out.

I should have added in that we have MVMCP tickets for after BOG - so early dinner at BOG, then MVMCP afterwards so getting back to EPCOT for this dessert party would not have been feasible or worthwhile. At the end of it, we didn't book the premium package for the dessert party so we'd skip if need be. But since its part of the package, darn it, I want to attend. I do have a fair degree of confidence in what the website and CMs are saying about the dessert party but being asked on the phone today "And which night do you want to book your dessert party?" threw me since I thought it was a lock for the Monday of our week.

I have tried to book by deminar for my premium package at least 6 times. My latest call I was told the deminar said have not been released for the week of Oct 26th. Has anyone else booked for this week successfully?

Not sure if it was posted yet but the Sampler Package can now be booked online.

I apologize if this is old news or already been posted

Ok, I just called, and was able to add my culinary demonstration to our PP. The cast member said she'd not seen any communication that it was open for booking, but when I explained that others on the internet were sharing their success, she told me she'd "give it a shot." It took a few minutes on hold for her to ask someone, but she figured it out. Everything looks correct in MDE, so I think we're good to go.

LOL, I was afraid to ask about the sparkling dessert party for fear of getting yet another different answer. We're just going to show up at 8:00 and play it by ear.

Apparently I am defective (this is not news) but I *cannot* figure out how/where to book the sampler package online... if anyone has a link, I promise eternal gratitude.

I managed to book the Premium Package and the Beverage Seminar for the 26th October yesterday. I was told that you could either do the beverage seminar at 2PM, or the culinary one at 5PM. (Mind you it did take almost 45 minutes to get this sorted, and quite a number of conversations between the CM & her Supervisor.) I didn't even ask at what time to show up for the Desert Party. I figure I will sort this out when we show up to collect our goodies on the 26th.

Some Info on the: Epcot Food and Wine Festival Tasting Sampler
You have to call the festival number to book the Sampler.
You will pick up your packet starting at 9 am the DAY OF at the festival center in futureworld(cannot be picked up in advance).
Price was 62.85 with tax.
The 8 credits must be used for the day purchased-No carryovers. A list of exclusions will be listed when you pick up your package.
I could not get a straight answer on how the credits would work as far as, would it be on a card, paper vouchers.....
Thanks for the info. Looks like I'll be waiting for early festival goers' reports of what the exclusions are and how you redeem them since no one at Disney seems to know. The rest is what I expected.

First time for F&W and we are excited foodies. Have wanted to go for years but DHs boss always denied fall vacay requests. Finally got November dates approved so we will be there last 4 days of F&W.
We have a 6 yr old DS who will be along. Plan to hit F&W lunchish each day. Does that sound like a good strategy? Anyone else bring younger kids before & have tips? DS is a patient kid & well mannered but he has his limits. Watching mom & dad eat for hours on end (my preference) will probably stretch them
We had our 6 and 8 year olds with us last year and will be bringing them along again this year. They actually really enjoyed trying different foods, especially the oldest. I recommend getting him a slushie or something because mine got jealous of all the special drinks they weren't allowed to have lol. Mix in visits to the Kidcot stops in the pavilions, and maybe play the Agent P game as another poster suggested. You may be surprised how much he enjoys Epcot! It's my kids' favorite park.

There has been no image posted of the pin that will be included with the Sampler Package. This article was about the merchandise that will be available to purchase during the Festival.

We booked our Beverage Seminar as well for Oct 26. Only took about 5 minutes. Looks like they are getting it all sorted out. I can't wait.

As PP said these recipe card pins are pins you buy. It is not the special pin for the sampler package as someone else posted. From the sampler package details there is a LE pin that comes in a choice of 3 colors. I have yet to see a picture of this particular LE Sampler Pin in any color.
