EPCOT Food and Wine Festival, Sept. 25 - Nov 16 2015

They always have provided the culinary demonstration detail in advance..but I think I remember at least one year when it wasn't until the day before the early passholder registration opened.
Okay, I am going to keep watching - thanks

Links and dates added to the first post!

Also, there hasn't been any TBD at booking time so they may clear that up this week. They know that nobody's going to book a chef-centered event when they don't know who the chef is. That does not, however, mean that things never change after booking, sometimes the chefs have cancelled. Recently they've offered refunds if that happened or you could just keep the event and see the substitute.

You likely will see deminar and mixology schedules this week sometime. If prebooking opens on the 24th it could be as late as the 23rd.

As for cancelling, the events are not cancellable. You would have to call and see if they will allow you to cancel. It's doubtful.

These boards never disappoint (pardon the pun).

Every year someone posts about the drunk person he or she saw at the Food & Wine Festival ... puking on a toddler; doing the nasty in the flower bushes; baptizing non-believers in the cranberry bog. For the love of humanity could we all please stop making assumptions about each other?

If you promise not to judge my tipsy husband, I promise not to judge your screaming child.

Now can we all just go have fun at the festival?

I am always amazed at the ability of posters on here to judge others. I remember getting sick at Epcot once and hearing some if you tell me how drunk I was. Sadly I have not had anything to drink and apparently had some kind of bug. But that didn't stop the group on here that can diagnose from a distance from knowing exactly what was wrong. LOL

Amen!!

Are there a lot of vegetarian options at PFTS? I'm trying to see if I can justify the price

Anybody that got the premium package last year, what was the bottle of wine that you received in room, was it red, white, dry, or sweet, and if you can remember, what was the varietal. TIA

I did not get the package myself but I remeber a review stating it was a Cianti. That's about my limit of what I knwo of wines though.

Great memory! I didn't get the package either but just looked up the reviews and it was a chianti made "exclusively for the Disney Parks" bottles of which sold for $17 in the festival center.

I don't think they've said that the package is returning yet but for anyone interested, here are the reviews I found:

My whole problem with the Premium package is that the times they offer it are not the times with the long lines. So you can't use it on Friday/Saturday and Sunday which is when the lines are long.

Not having to stand in line or having a "reserved" table at noon on Monday was just not a "perk" to me as I go often for lunch and the lines are generally short and there are places to eat. Evenings it gets more crowded, but once again the areas closed earlier then the park reducing their benefit. If they would expand this to the weekends I would consider it (but I bet they would then double the price so that would knock me out. They are at about my limit for what it offers LOL! )

I agree it makes the offer less tempting but I can see how it would conflict with the Chase lounge giving out priority seating wristbands.

Do you get priority seating wristbands if you go to the Chase lounge? We are Chase Disney Visa holders and this would be a great thing!

They've done it the past few years for the weekends. You have to go when it opens at 11am because there is a limited amount of wristbands they hand out. Sometimes they have them for Illuminations as well. Here's touringplans post on it: http://blog.touringplans.com/2014/07/29/chase-lounge-returns-2014-epcot-food-wine-festival/

Do you think I would be able to ask the chefs to leave off the meat?

Yes and no. I think a lot depends on what they made, but.... in some cases if they leave off the meat there's not much left. These are "tasting samples" not full meals so it might be a meat dish with just a sauce. Do you want just sauce?

Also, if you don't like things cooked with beef stock etc.. that could be an issue (Not sure how strict you are)

There are some pictures of meat dishes on the review above. I think you will see what I mean when I say if they leave off the meat there's not much left!

This was the only menu I could find and it's years old but basically the same idea still exists

The Premium Package & the Chase Lounge are two totally different things. There was nothing from the Premium Package that was offered last year that conflicted in any way with the Chase Lounge . The Premium Package did not include seating for the Concerts or Illuminations and the special seating areas for the premium package were around World Showcase and did not include the Chase Lounge.
