EPCOT Food and Wine Festival, Sept. 25 - Nov 16 2015

The Premium Package & the Chase Lounge are two totally different things. There was nothing from the Premium Package that was offered last year that conflicted in any way with the Chase Lounge . The Premium Package did not include seating for the Concerts or Illuminations and the special seating areas for the premium package were around World Showcase and did not include the Chase Lounge.

Sorry I mixed up the premium package with the tasting package and assumed we were talking about eat to the beat concerts. So many packages it's easy to get them jumbled.

DH, Adult DS and I will be attending our 10th F & W the 3rd week in October. We will be on the DDP and use our snack credits at the booths. We were talking yesterday about the changes to the DDP, specifically that you can convert 1 QS credit into 3 snack credits this year. A rule is that the 3 snack/QS conversion needs to be in a single transaction.
We are hoping we can do this at the festival. I will be looking at early reviews to see if anyone can successfully do this.
Thoughts?

I do not believe you will be able to do this at the festival. It's only being allowed at certain places. However, we will not know for sure until someone goes to the festival and tries it. if they do allow it, you would need to purchase all 3 items at the same booth, and alcoholic beverages will be excluded. Use of QS credits has not been allowed in the past, so nobody can say for sure.

I'm not sure it would work too well. Remember, you must buy 3 snacks at one venue in order for it to work (and I'm not even sure if you can make this switch at the F&W booths, or only at resort venues, I think I read). Even if you could make the switch at F&W booths, would you be buying 3 items at a booth? Actually, I suppose it's possible since there are 3 of you going. However, lots of times, people share. But the big question is, like I speculated, I'm not sure you can even make this switch (3 snacks for 1 QS credit) at the F&W booths. Hopefully someone else will weigh in.

I remember years of seeing Grand Marnier tastings on Sundays. My family always wanted to go but were never AT the festival on a Sunday. This year we will be there on a Sunday, but I don't see a Grand Marnier tasting listed. Am I missing something, or is this no longer being offered?

It has not been announced. It appears to have been replaced by the Parisian Afternoons.

Has anyone done the :
Ultimate Day at Epcot Food & Wine Festival Tour?

I just saw it and was kinda interested, but I am not sure if it is worth the money.

Thanks for the response. Alas, Parisian Afternoons is on Saturday, not Sunday. Is there ANYTHING worth going to on a Sunday now that Grand Marnier tasting is gone?

The Grand Marnier event was always held on Saturdays (I attended all but 1 year). The only events listed for Sunday's this year seems to be the new French Family Meal Tradition event that they haven't listed on the website yet or the new "What's Cooking with ?" event. Both are much more $ than the Grand Marnier event was.

The Disney Food Blog has posted a more extensive outline of events. It does mention the Premium Package so I guess those interested will need to wait for Disney's official list.

Epcot Food and Wine Premium Package
We also anticipate that this program, which proved to be very popular in 2014, will return again this year. More details to come!

Disney Food Blog may be changing their tune. This is on one of their more recent posts.
"(We haven’t received any information on whether or not the VIP Package will be back this year. Stay tuned.)"

(And I can't find the Ultimate Day package anyplace, but considering the bizarre design of the website that's not really surprising LOL!)

The Ultimate Day Package is listed under the Disney's VIP Tour Services for EPCOT, it isn't on the F & W pages.

The Premium package wasn't even announced last year until ON the booking date.

The DestiNations Discovered tour is nowhere to be found on the website, yet available for booking, so you never know.

Hi. What is the policy for under-3's at ticketed events (specifically the Parisian Breakfast.) I know that 3-through-adults are all the same full price, but wasn't sure if under-3-year-olds can come in without buying a ticket.

Thanks!

Since we are a party of 3, what we were wondering was would it be possible to do at a booth where we each wanted an item - thereby using 3 snack credits in one transaction. I agree with you both in that I think it is doubtful this will be an option. But we were wondering. :-)

So sad we are going to miss it this year! Love Food and Wine!
