EPCOT Food and Wine Festival, Sept. 25 - Nov 16 2015

It would have been nice if Disney had removed the photos of the food items that aren't on the booth menus this year instead of posting pictures of food they won't be serving!

No Victoria & Albert Signature Dinner is listed this year. I wonder if they are making it a private dinner for their loyal patrons?
Signature Dining

Which of these would you choose for a culinary adventures in signature dining?
- The Boathouse
- Flying Fish Cafe
- Yachtsman Steakhouse
- Jiko

It will just be me - my family and friends are leaving the day before this. This will be my 7th and last night at WDW celebrating my 40th birthday. I'm staying at the YC.

YSH
BH

Are the daily mixology sessions ($15) something that can be booked ahead of time or is that a day of thing?

you can book them ahead of time as soon as they become available. We don't have schedules or prices for those yet (don't know if they will still be $15). I was seeing 7/24 for prebooking DVC/TIW/AP by phone and everyone else can book 7/30 either online or by phone. So those should be out by the 24th.

No schedule for the mixology yet, but the offical Disney page is listing the $15 price-point ... of course all will probably be subject to change

Mixology Seminars
Festival Welcome Center, Vineyard Stage
Daily at 6:00 PM
$15 per Guest

Does anyone know what the * s mean on the Disney site? I see them by food items and beverage items from various boothes. For example China lists:

To eat:

  • Beijing roasted duck in steamed bun with hoisin sauce
  • Gaoli beef slider*
  • Black pepper shrimp with Sichuan noodles
  • Chicken pot stickers
To drink:

  • TSINGTAO Beer
  • Francis Ford Coppola Su Yuen Riesling*
  • Ritzy Lychee with cognac and vodka
  • Happy Peach with peach liqueur and dark rum
  • Kung Fu Punch with vodka and triple sec
  • Mango jasmine tea with popping bubbles

it says towards beginning, "Experience a shift in your palate’s perspective—discover more than 30 unique marketplaces, and be on the lookout for corresponding asterisks (*) placed next to our suggested food and beverage pairings!"

I can't see anything on the link you posted but if I go to the Epcot Food and Wine Festival home page there is now lots of data.

No evidence of Premier Packages or 3D Desert parties.

There is a new Toyko Pairing event for $59.99. A sampler type dining experience

It looks like the Tokyo Pairing is $100. Not sure why so high this year.

I am so disappointed. They've taken away all of my favorites. The 3d Dessert Discovery is gone. They took away the Griddled Greek Cheese?!?! Where are all of the vegetarian options? Where's Terra?

:guilty:

Several sources reported Terra is gone. I noticed one of their products is now in Greece. (Personally that stuff was inedible. If I am doing vegetarian I don't want "fake meat" but I know others liked it.) I assume Terra left for one of two reasons (1) it didn't sell enough (Disney tracks sales by location if one doesn't perform "off with it's head" or (b) the vendor quit sponsoring it (It was pretty evident the Gardin people were paying somehow)

I was surprised the Griddled Cheese was gone. It seemed incredibly popular. Maybe with the addition of the "country of cheese" they felt it was too much cheese?

The only think I am sad about is the Kimchi Dog in Korea. Loved that, but even though the picture is still there the food is gone (Another example of the outstanding IT operations at Disney!)
