EPCOT Food and Wine Festival, Sept. 25 - Nov 16 2015

Oh, wow - in addition to being at the show, you get FREE admission to EPCOT for the day! That's awesome!!! Congrats to all that were able to snag tickets!!

According to the printed ticket, it does include admission to Epcot. (Or at least that is the way I read it.) I have copied the text on the ticket below.

Upon arrival at the Epcot® main entrance, proceed to the check in table, and show a photo ID, to receive the following:
o 1-day theme park ticket(s) (Epcot® only) (exact number of tickets determined by the number of guests requested, and confirmed, via TheChew.com)

o Wristband (s) for admittance to the taping

• Enjoy the rest of your day experiencing Epcot® after the show taping.

I expected park entry to be included. That's how it works when you attend tapings of other shows that are filmed at Disney

WOW! I should read more carefully! I wonder if you could leave and come back (we're staying at an Epcot resort). Probably not. I have an AP but the rest of my party does not. We have dinner at Epcot but don't think we will make it in the park from 7:30am to 9:30pm.

It does make me giggle a bit that the Chew tickets are free and include admission whereas you can pay $100+ for a F&W event and need admission on top of that. I know...it's a business... And I'm lining up to pay. Just strikes me as funny.

It sounds like it's just a normal 1-day Epcot ticket, so that should allow you to leave and come back as necessary.

If you put a conservative estimate on the value of the pin at $10 you need to value your Sampler Package entitlements at $6.13. Otherwise the entitlements should be valued at $7.37 in order for you to break even on the Sampler Package. There really is no value to the reserved seating for the concerts especially since you can now FP+ it.. For your DDP snack credits the higher the price of a food item the better value for your credits. I won't even delve into what you would need to value 3 snack credits at if you did the QS conversion. As stated already you can't use DP snack credits on the alcoholic beverages.
I am waiting to see what exclusions are involved with alcohol and the Sampler Package. We already have the DDP but I'd love to use the sampler package for adult beverages, the higher priced the better IF they arent excluded from the package!

Does anyone know which weeks are sold out for the premium package? Looking at the week of October 12 but I am assuming that it's a long shot at this point since it's Columbus Day week? Thanks!

Anyone know where I can find reviews from last years foods/drinks
I know some websites post detailed reviews from guest.

@sunshinesisters Most of the food can be purchased with a snack credit from the dining plan. We always put a spreadsheet together listing what we want to try and then determine if it will be out of pocket or use a snack credit. For example, using a snack credit for the $7 filet in Canada is a good use but not for the $2 coconut candy in Brazil. As for using multiple snack credits from a QS credit, has not been verified to my knowledge. I am sure as soon as the festival starts, people will post their experience in being able to use a QS converted into snack credits!
Thank you for sharing your spreadsheet tip! I wouldn't have thought of that.

I had no problem booking that week a couple weeks ago

Our last day in the parks will be the first day of F&W. However, it seems like I read a rumor a while back that they actually open a good many of the booths on the Thursday before F&W opens as test runs/training. Does anyone know if this is historically true??

Yes it is historically true. It's considered to be the Cast member preview on the Thursday before the first day.

This is just as good as the DFB Guide that you have to pay for
No offense to the DFB people but I never understood why people would spend money on their guide that is primarily based on info from previous years and is sold before most details for the current year are confirmed. I hope they at least provide updates to the purchasers once the info is confirmed.

I cannot remember who asked, but the October 5 Premium Package is also still available. Just booked a new one for an additional member of my party.
