***Epcot Food And Wine Festival Info 2008***

Shovan,

Louisiana is doing the City Taste on Friday, November 7th for $95.00pp.

I started thinking that I wonder if when Cat Cora emailed "redzinner" that she would be doing some demos at the F&W that she will be at this event?? I don't remember what weekend she said she would be there. On the brochure, she is not listed doing any paid events. It would make sense if she was at this one. Maybe??

dizneykid,
Cat Cora said she would be at Epcot F&WF the the weekend of November 1st. Cat is from the south, Mississippi but I don't know if she wants to mess with Louisiana foodies.

Irvine, nice yes? :goodvibes

I am a first timer and convinced DH to do Party for the senses as a b-day present for me! I have heard so many good things about this festival - I am totally psyched about going! Otherwise, we will probably meander through World Showcase enjoying the items from the kiosk. I cannot wait! Unfortunately, I have to work at least half days while I am there :(

OH, you will have a great time. Don't worry about having to work while you are there, hubby has done that many times!!! Kind of the pits, but it is better than not going at all!  :cool1:

I'm the "someone on the podcast board." As I explained, I'm also the one doing these updates. When I saw Robert Irvine scheduled as a rep for the Food Network's Dinner Impossible, I made the decision to change it to TBA.

Due to Irvine's situation, I find it extremely unlikely that he'll be hosting that event. If I had used it, it could have led to speculation regarding the accuracy of all of the information.

We'll just have to wait and see what they schedule on that date. :)

My brochure says he is definately going to be there, and Irvines newsletter also has dates and times for his free events (5:45pm culinary demonstration), book signings (3:30pm and 6:30pm) on October 16th, etc. So, I would guess he is going to be there.

Heck, I'll be working during all six weeks of the Food and Wine Festival ;)

Though nothing beats, "Hey, I've had a rough day at work, let's run over to Epcot and have some wine and nibbles!"

you got a brochure from Disney? Can you scan it and post it?

People keep saying the brochure is the same as Allears.

Well, Allears doesn't have the two "signature" dinners (V&A and Bluezoo). Are they on the brochure?

It's also here:

I keep adding up and I only have six events to book - what a difference from prior years - and that may go down to 5 if I can convince my mother she'd rather go to Kimonos or Ca. Grill than do the sushi pairing.

Thanks Jeanne, I did see that!
Our schedule just has me so bummed, nothing is going our way. I now see the french regional lunch for our dates is Pierre Sparr. I love his wines & really enjoyed his seminar a few years back. ( He actually came over to our table with several bottles of wine at PFTS. He came to chat with Chef Jean Robert DeCaval & his family who we were lucky enough to be seated with.) But for $135 I like to try something new & the presenter is CEO not the winemaker. We're missing Andrea Immer & Todd English by a week! The Greek Regional Feast by 4 days! Maybe tomorrow will have some surprises for us. I guess I'm wishing for a little bit of that old Disney Magic.:wizard: ;)

I don't have a scanner, is there anything that you would like to know? Any specific dates?

We'll be there Oct. 8th-Oct. 13th.
We'll definitely be doing the PFTS - but we'd appreciate knowing for sure what else would be available so we can be ready to call Monday!

Thanks (:

Lois

This is a tough crowd. Can anyone give me an answer? Please!!!!!!!:goodvibes

The Disney Dining Experience sends out the F&W Brochure for their members. They said that it was sent this week and we should be looking out for it.

I received mine yesterday.

I want to know when/where there a free food demos. If that information is on wdwinfo, can someone point me to exactly where? I can't find it. Thanks.

Thank You dizneykid:thumbsup2 I have DDE and I never get anything from them anymore. I just called them last month and the girl on the phone told me they don't send info out anymore that you can get it in DTD.:sad2: I guess I will have to make a phone call tommorrow.

No DDE brochure here ... but no big surprise either since it showed up pretty late last year as well. I was really hoping to read through it tonight since we're leaving early tomorrow morning for Boca.

Off the top of my head it just sounds like three events for us if we can get them:

PFTS on 10/11
French Lunch on 10/12
Kitchen Chat on 10/16

we're keeping our ADR for Vickie & Al's, too! :thumbsup2

The only two signature dinners Nov. 2 & 7, there are none in October?

yeah, that's what we've been saying all week. It's a bummer - we were really hoping to participate in a signature dinner this year. Looks like we'll have to settle for V&A instead. ;)

We have not received anything here on the west coast.. I'm sure that I will get back from WDW in October just for it's arrival! :rotfl2:

Well, nothing going on anyway.. we are doing PFTS Oct. 4 and 12th since we assume that the chefs we want to see from that week will be there anyway!
