***Epcot Food And Wine Festival Info 2008***

OK so whos going to be the person to tell us what the Sam Adams festival beer is this year?

Ack, sorry I didn't scan the map! It was pretty much, come home, scan pictures, post, collapse into bed. The scanner is hooked up to DH's computer so I'll see if I can get something done asap but we have to leave for work in just a few.

And we're going to go check out what the festival beer is this year, but we're not holding our breaths that it's anything different from the Winter Lager. :( oh, and Jazcat, I would have LOVED some of the Imperial Pilsner, especially on draft.

Here we go, not the best resolution, but it's there :)

If I get antsy tomorrow I'll type it up. But it looks like a LOT of different changes from what's on Deb's, so that makes me happy.

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! I'm SO glad that I waited to do my score cards - I had a feeling that the final menus would be different. I hope that everyone who is going this weekend has a wonderful time!!! :dance3:

Cheers!

I just got home from working the night shift and I was so excited to see the food & wine booth menus had been posted:banana:

Thank you so much for doing that:worship: It was a wonderful surprise this morning

:worship: thanks to all of you for posting pics & maps! My DS and I will be going over the lists this weekend and planning our stops. :woohoo:

:cool1: LOVING the posts and scans!!

Thank you all so much!! :worship:

Jazz per the Sam Adams tasting - we've been (and we'll go again!) but am I the only one that gets disappointed in it? Such small pours, and I dont recall tasting anything but their regular lager and their light beer (maybe there were 3 beers, but honestly I think it is only a 2 ounce pour per glass - personally I'm hoping they still give us a bottle opener!) I also love their Cherry Wheat... miss the Inbev beers in Rose and Crown!

Now I want to go back and check my pics to see if the cheese soup cup is the same size as last year - everyone is feeling the economy!

My hubby and I were terribly disappointed by the pours at the Sam Adams tasting last year. We called them spit-cup samples. :rotfl2: We had four samples but nothing exotic ... it was the standard lager, the light version, the Oktoberfest, and the Festival beer. The bottle opener was a nice gift, though.

I still miss the InBev beer tastings ... those were generous and tasty! :thumbsup2

And I do recall that the cheddar cheese soup was pretty small last year ... a mini-cup.

What are score cards? Sounds interesting - is there a link to an example anywhere?

Thanks!

We still have never been to the Sam Adams tastings, but I guess we haven't missed much!

And yes, the Inbev tastings, those were wonderful. DH and I shared a table with a very nice lady, and had 5 full bottles between the three of us!

And I also remember the soup and custard being fairly tiny. I was pretty put off though that they used a portioner on the prosecco at the cheese booth, which kept off about 2-3oz sparkling wine - very disappointing when I'm used to them pouring to the top!

We're heading over again tonight with a CM friend of ours...bracing for the crowds, it was fairly busy even yesterday.

:rotfl2: That's perfect description!! I took a picture, but in the background was a kid (kids have to sit outside of the area, you can see them, but its an alcohol thing) and he (maybe 11 years old) was flipping us off!! :rotfl:
(I didnt notice it, until after I posted, someone pointed it out!! :rotfl2: )

You can find this at any local liquor store for around $6 per bottle. Sam's club had it with the glasses for about $6.99.

I can also buy O'Mara's at my local Meijers for about $7.00 a bottle.

Have a great time! If you can take pics of the menus with prices, that would be awesome! I hope they put out the big menu stands again this year...

I am going off to the first event, the Cook Book & Bottle with whatshisface. I don't have the brochure or anything. All I know is show up early.

Holy crap, that's a small soup. Like WDW has hired the soup nazi.

Some were out, some were just plastic signs near the register, I believe since it was the soft opening and they were getting everything worked out. I took pictures of a few, DH was organizing them late last night and this morning but we'll put up all of our pictures on Sunday.

Did someone ask in this thread about the gift card? Argh, getting busy at work now and trying to keep things straight. We love to use gift cards for FWF because one, it keeps AmEx from calling us and wondering why we have 50 different small charges, and two, it keeps a running countdown of how much money we have left on the cards, since three, our birthdays are today and tomorrow (DH, mine, respectively) and our families give us Visa gift cards to use at FWF. :)

I AM asking DH to pick up some cash today just in case the machines go down. They were having trouble at some booths yesterday.

Can you use the snack credits at the festival?? I have heard that you could use them on any of the food in the past, but I know Disney has changed a lot of the snack options this year. This is my first time going to F&W-I can't wait! 2 more days!!!
