We have PftS on 10/25. While we will enjoy the wine selections, do they have any non-alcoholic beverages? Water, maybe? DD is an amateur drinker and I like to stay hydrated so I won't end up like this...![]()
I wonder if we can get a to-go cup because we have no plans to eat there and quite frankly no interest in eating there either.![]()
They do have bottled water at the wine stations - we kept taking them to drink during the evening to stay hydrated, like you stated. Although no one told us we couldn't take them, we found out later they were really there for people to rinse out their wine glasses between tastings.
D'OH!![]()
It really is primarily alcohol ... we didn't see much else in the way of beverages at the PFTS we attended last year.
A to-go cup would be nice. Why don't you have plans there are you going to eat at the Plaza instead.
We did the same thing with the water Brenda...so don't feel bad! I guess we are just heathans!

There is a link to a thread where the brochure was posted in the first post of this thread.
Sorry, I should have been more specific. I was actually referring to the full Food and Wine Festival 2008 brochure, not the Special Events brochure.
Guess I will gather some patience and wait a while longer.

My kids and Michelle's kids did get cans of sodas at PFTS, but they weren't so easy to come by. I have no idea where they got them from, but I remember DS telling me they were not plentiful.
The Plaza? Bah, they don't even serve alcohol there!![]()
Isn't the Plaza were you ended up when your Mother went on the trip? And you missed La Cellar?![]()
My goodness you have a great memory!
Yes, we went to the Plaza because she wanted a cheesesteak sandwich that she ended up not ordering and that's why I canceled Le Cellier. Nothing against the Plaza, it's a fine little place but once was enough for us. And Le Cellier ... the original reason we were going to eat there was because the buzz about it here on the DIS was strong and we figured we couldn't go wrong with dinner if that's where we took my parents. On our own, though, Jay and I would much rather go to someplace that features seafood.
That's probably way more information than wanted, isn't it?![]()
I do have a great memory but your TR stayed with me. I'm sorry but I found the things your mother did amusing. But that is because it wasn't me it was happening to. It was one of those storys were you say Thank God I'm Not The Only One It Happens Too. It's a club I'm sure with alot of members
.
Does anyone know what is sold out this year?
Used to be allearsnet did a great job telling you, but this year... either NOTHING is sold out or they aren't updating (and my vote is on the latter!)

We use the water for both. Really, you need to keep drinking water with all of the alcohol you're drinking, and it also works well for rinsing between wines. I can't imagine the water isn't intended for both uses. Otherwise, they wouldn't be offering any non-alcoholic liquids.
the full festival brochure will not be released until the Festival actually opens. at that time someone around the boards who lives in FL usually is kind enough to scan it for the rest of us to look at.
