I saw them last week - they were OK. I think with time, they'll become more polished.
What year? Which concert? Perhaps we were at the same one. I saw them at Busch Stadium on August 21, 1966. I had a perfect seat right behind home plate. In spite of the lousy sound system they sounded fantastic. Unbelievable harmonies! They opened with Chuck Berry's "Rock n Roll Music" and ended with Little Richard's "Long Tall Sally."
When Off Kilter first came in, all we ever heard from Guests was about how loud they were and "what do bagpipes and rock & roll have to do with Canada?" And look at 'em now ....

The Beatles played Kansas City September 17, 1964. Tickets cost $2 (!!!!!) to $8.50. Here is a web site with the information:I saw them at the old Municipal Stadium in Kansas City. If I remember correctly, it was September of 1964. I remember my folks thinking that the tickets were expensive. I believe they were under $10 a piece. Crazy when you look at today's prices.
Of course, I loved the concert!

I attended live concerts by the groups you listed. I was there in the 60's, 70's, & 80's. I hate to disappoint you but the groups did not look like this. This group is channeling Van Halen appearancewise. Musically their just a bar band. Nothing special. Why spend premium $$$ to hear a group I could hear anywhere for a lot less $$$$? If you've led a sheltered life then this is adequate. I have higher expectations of Disney.

I also attended many concerts in the 60s, 70s and 80s. After the 60s, not that many groups wore matching costumes. I remember very clearly seeing The Who and each member of the band dressing differently. Maybe, you saw them on "matching costume" night.
Did I say anything about matching costumes? No, I didn't. The Beatles did not wear matching costumes at St. Louis in 66'. They wore suits but they weren't matching. John wore a tie, George didn't, Ringo is Ringo . . . I saw The Who 3 times. No matching costumes. I saw the Stones twice, no matching costumes. The Animals, no matching costumes. Cream twice, no matching costumes, Hendrix (two members British) no matching costumes. The point is there is a British vibe, an American vibe, and an Americanized pseudo British vibe. This situation is one of those (Americanized pseudo British vibe) which is really disappointing considering Disney's reputation for attention to detail. I guess you can probably tell that I'm a retired musician ( Local No. 2 American Federation of Musicians), so I have a different perspective having played backup with professionals on stage and in the studio in that era. I can't believe I've allowed myself to get sucked into this discussion. It is rather pitiful if this is the high point of a visit to Epcot. Wait a minute!! Okay! The English Channel is the best thing that has ever happened to the UK in Epcot. I strongly encourage you to get there as soon as possible to see this group of marginal, oops, I mean tremendous musicians. In fact you should head over there as soon as you enter the park, even during early entry. I know, i know. What will I do if I get to the park and there is no room for me in the UK? I guess I'll just have to meander over to the Land to get a Fast Pass to Soarin' and then use the standby line since everyone will be over at the UK World Showcase waiting to hear that stupendous, magnificent group that makes Eric Clapton look like he took suzuki violin lessons. Then I'll suffer through Test Track, Mission Space, drinking around the world and the belly dancer in Morocco. It's a sacrifice. I think I'll survive.
Wow! I'm apologize if I misunderstood your prior posts. It seemed like you were comparing this group to BI and the fact that they wore costumes. Sorry.
I don't care who you are. I don't care who you've seen in concert. I've seen many concerts in my day as well and I happen to like this new group. I will continue to see them since I live ten minutes from the park and can watch them any time I want. I don't really care if you ever see them. Both times I've seen them, the crowd seemed to really enjoy them. I am sure many people will really like them. I don't think that Disney will care one way or the other if you ever bother to see them.
Now, I'll bow out of what has become a very nasty discussion. I don't need the aggravation.
There really is no reason to become so aggravated. As you said earlier this is just something you will have to disagree on.
I still say that.![]()
