Do you think its worth it to go to Epcot for maybe 4 hours our first night? We are arriving in the early afternoon and have an ADR at Cape May and we were thinking of going to Epcot after because they have EMH that night. I'm still trying to iron out my plans and I'm thinking of just taking off one of my ticket days.

Depending on your ticket, it may be very cheap to just add an extra day. I want to say $8-$10 per person per dayon top of a four day ticket? It can easily be added at guest services if you want an extra day after you enter the parks. I'm sure someone else will comment that knows for sure. We always add the extra day and do MK our arrival evening. So I think you should I always figure we are there, why not enjoy it. Illuminations should make a nice start to a trip!

Depends.
How many nights are you staying? If you have long trip, maybe you can just hang out on the boardwalk to save money on the tickets
Do you have kids? If yes, will they be entertained at your hotel? Swimming perhaps? Would they rather get on some rides?

I have two small boys 6 and 4 and we are staying 8 nights and will have my in laws with us for the first 4 nights. I think I'm going to have us relax at the resort. We are staying at a resort we've never been so we can use that time after dinner to explore the resort and go swimming. This will literally be the 20th time i call Disney to change something lol. They probably make fun after they get off the phone with me "hey guys its that girl again who can't make up her stinkin mind on what she wants" "i just got her again"
