Epcot Early Entry worth it?

I'm taking a short trip on January and are only planning to visit Epcot on January 12. Because it's only one park, I'm looking into a Disney World Partner Hotel so I can take advantage of early entry.

The thing is, for the same amount of days I can get a close non-partner hotel for half of what a Disney Springs hotel would charge me. For the amount of the Holiday Inn at Disney Springs, I could afford a different hotel nearby plus Lightning Lane multi pass and GOTG single pass (no premier) for the day.
So the question basically is, is early entry really worth it to ride GOTG? Or would it be better to rope drop GOTG and also get the LL?

EE will get you one good ride, maybe two if you're aggressive about being at the front of the rope drop line (like arriving an hour before EE). I'd go LLMP + GOTG LL and do the day on your schedule. Keep in mind Remy and TT offer single rider lines.

EPCOT has EMH evenings on Mondays. Don't know if that applies, but worth considering if it does.
TT3 and Remy's have single rider lines - practically a walk-on for both. The queue displays on TT3 are nothing special - you aren't missing anything using the single-rider line.
My RD strategy (and it works well) is to do everything else but Guardians at RD, then just know you will be gutting it out in the Guardians line.
For reference when you are there, a line that just reaches the door is slightly more than an hour (after RD once LLSPs start to return). That's as long as we waited.

If you are not going to be able to do LL on property I would do off property and do LL and plan to rope drop. EE is great if you are at the front of the pack but once the park opens to everyone it’s a free for all. LL is more important, IMO.

Dang, didnt finish reading your post before I replied! So we bought a LL for GOTG and we did early entry (this was a couple of weeks ago on a Saturday, no kiddos in tow) and were able to ride GOTG twice before lines opened to the public. 💯 worth it, but we also purchased a single lane to ride it not knowing if the ride would open on time, have glitches and close *(GOTG closes often in our experience) etc.

What transportation are you planning? Driving you’ll need to think about hotel parking fees then cost of parking at Epcot. With a plan like yours I’d skip EE and use that budget toward uber, LLMP and LLSP.

It’s not uncommon for rides to be down at early entry. I wouldn’t spend the extra money for it.
