Epcot- do you start with Mexico or Canada?

and why? We have always started with Canada. This time I think we will start with Mexico. Just to be different... And maybe to get a margarita

Mexico..For no real reason other than nostalgia..My parents and I would do that when I was younger and it stuck with me as an adult and with my own family

First time (2010) we started with Mexico because my daughter was doing the Kim Possible mission and thought Mexico would be fun. Next time it was out of habit and because we had eaten there before and the children really liked the QS restaurant there. Plus they wanted to see Mexico Donald. He’s a favorite of ours. I think next time we might start with Canada because last time we made it to all but the last 3 countries.

Actually I always start at Mexico. For no particular reason.

I was there prior to the 11:00 am opening and they actually had a simple opening ceremony. It was very nice.

We always seem to start in Canada, normally because the hubs wants a beer in hand to stroll through showcase.

But when we go in Oct, I will be starting in Mexico because I want to sample the tequila flight!

Usually Mexico because we typically make Test Track our last FP+. So we come out the exit of Test Track, turn left, go past the Odyssey, and start in Mexico.

We always start in Canada. But thats because we are usually stopping in the UK for lunch. But one time we did start in Mexico and it really felt strange. Its funny that you brought this up as my wife and I were just discussing this topic and she really wants to do it backwards (backwards for me) this coming trip. At first I put up a fuss but compromised when she said we could stop at the Canadian Food and Wine Booth and have some Cheddar Cheese Soup if we start in Mexico.

My main argument was we always start our vacation in Canada (as we are from Canada) and if we go the other way(Mexico- Canada) it will remind me what it will be like at the end of our Vacation when we are forced to return to Canada. I know its a weak argument but we had fun discussing it!

We start at Mexico but only ever do the first few countries (in detail) before having to head for a FP, ADR or getting caught in the rain, so for the second part of our trips we start at Canada and do the remaining countries from that direction

Interesting post! We always start in Canada for the first visit to WS. After that it's whichever way is closer to where we are going, as we usually eat dinner a few times in the WS.

This is interesting. We do both, but I'd say a vast majority of the time we start in Canada because we're coming from The Land/Seas and because my son's priority is the Chocolate Mousse in France.

For us, it depends on where we are in Future World when World Showcase opens. Sometimes it's Mexico, and sometimes it's Canada.

It depends on which side of FW we're in. One day we'll do the east side, so we'll head to Mexico. The other day we'll do the west and head to Canada. We've even been known to throw caution to the winds, take the boat across the lagoon, and start near the middle.

We normally park hop to the world showcase in an afternoon and start with France considering we typically stay in one of the Epcot resorts.

Funny thread! For some reason Mexico draws me in first. We like to grab a margarita to walk around with. But it also depends on where we have meal reservations. We like Le Cellier, or Via Napoli and will often go that way first if we have a meal coming up soon.

I have done both. Starting in Canada right now seems to be working better because the family want to eat lunch in either UK or France. Plus we had Dinner ressies at Askerhus. I am fine with lunch at Mexico and going around the world that way. Where I plan to have Dinner is probably the deciding choice.

We alternate between the two. Depends on when we are there and what is going on. During the Food and Wine Festival we go toward Mexico first because we usually have dinner at Rose & Crown for Illuminations.

Our upcoming trip (9 days away) we will be starting in Canada because we have dinner at San Angel Inn.

We have always started with Mexico, but the thought of a "Lumberjack" show in Canada has gotten us so pumped that we are going to start in Canada now !!!

We always started at Mexico bc of the Donald Duck ride there plus Norway is next door so there was maelstrom. Now that maelstrom is closing I don't know if we will start with Mexico now. We will still prolly start at Mexico out of habit now.
