Epcot closeing then to MK for EMH

After IllumNations if we take a bus to MK for EMH will we get to MK in time to be able enjoy EMH. What time do you think we will get to MK. Or should we just go back to the resort after IllumNations.

The crowds leaving Epcot after Ill is insanely large. Your best bet is to take the bus from Epcot to the CR and then walk to MK.

Would this be if MK was open to Midnight or later for EMH? It's doable. Not sure about taking the bus. Our last visit we took the Monorail to TTC/then to MK. Crowds at MK EMH were lower and ride wait was small. We had a great time!

Is there a bus from Epcot to CR? I thought you had to take the monorail.

OP, I agree that it will take you a long time to get to MK after Illuminations. But if the park is open extra late, it might not matter too much, I guess.

There are no buses between Epcot, Magic Kingdom Park, Disney's Contemporary Resort, Disney's Polynesian Resort or Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa due to the Monorail System. To travel (directly) between these destinations the monorail is the only option with transfers at the Transportation & Ticket Center when applicable.

MK -> Epcot: Express Monorail to TTC, transfer to Epcot Monorail
MK -> CR: Resort Monorail, 1st Stop
MK -> Poly: Resort Monorail, 3rd Stop
MK -> GF: Resort Monorail, 4th Stop

Epcot -> MK: Epcot Monorail to TTC, transfer to Express Monorail
Epcot -> CR: Epcot Monorail to TTC, transfer to Resort Monorail, 4th Stop
Epcot -> Poly: Epcot Monorail to TTC, transfer to Resort Monorail, 1st Stop or Epcot Monorail to TTC, then walk from TTC to Poly
Epcot -> GF: Epcot Monorail to TTC, transfer to Resort Monorail, 2nd Stop

And depending on the times of EMH, it may be completely possible to just use the monorail.

This is probably what I would do. Getting out the front gates is crazy after Illuminations. And the lines for busses/monorail may be LONG!

3rd choice is to walk to the Beach Club, take a taxi to the Contemporary Resort and walk to the MK - it's more expensive than the bus or monorail, but it will save you time.

Oops, got my parks mixed up....we use the "bus to CR then walk to MK" from HS. When we are at Epcot and the crowds are mega-packed we walk to the BC and hop on the bus to MK.

Epcot and HS always get me confused as to their transportation options....you can take the bus or boat from HS to Epcot but you have to take a boat ...no bus...from Epcot to HS

There is a bus AND a boat that run from Epcot to DHS and back the other way as well.

When DHS is in the plan:
If you are heading to or from Epcot's front gates, the bus is the better option.
If you are heading to or from World Showcase, the boat (or walking) will work.
