EPCOT Closed, BCV Loses Air Conditioning

What a bummer! I feel bad for guests who were going to spend their last day of their trip at Epcot. Fortunately no one was injured and looks as though little damage.

So what with the park! Think of those folks at BCV with no air conditioning in JULY! Now that's a bummer...

My sil, brother and two nieces are staying at the CBR. Hope everyone and everything is fine.

Wow. I am glad nobody got hurt. It is a tough time of year to be anywhere without air conditioning. I agree the other parks should remain open an extra 2 hours each.

Last week was nice with the occasional breeze, but Monday and yesterday were HOT!!!! I hope those people found something to do somewhere else where it was cool!

Not that this is really related, but during our stay at VWL in Aug 2001, we lost power there. Power was out at night for about 4 hours and it did to get VERY warm in our room. We did call the front desk and were told only the Villa's were effected not the Lodge and were offered a room in the Lodge. It was late and we had two children sleeping, even through the beeping smoke alarm!!!! Luckily, power was restored right before dayabreak and it wasn't that bad. I feel for those people at CBR and BCV, I've been there, only for a couple of hours, but I've been there....

I guess there will be some "stories" to tell. I'm glad no one was hurt but it must have been some fire to knock out the park and two resorts. I agree, no a/c in July is a very bad thing. I hope they arranged something, maybe using any available rooms.

That would not be fun, no air, yuck!

I think it was nice that they had the other parks open later. Stuff happens, and thank goodness that no one was hurt and that it didn;t happen during the so they did not have to evacuate the park!
