We have tried all the ECPOT restaurants in WS except these 3. Help me to choose 1 or even 2. Which are good with kids (10,7,5) who sit well at dinner?
What food is better? I checked out the menus on allears but just wanted opinions from people have been to any of them. Thanks!

We have eaten at all three. Marrakesh is entertaining (belly dancer), and we liked the food. They do have items on the menu which are not too exotic. We really like Alfredo's, although I know some do not. The restaurant is a little crowded, but the food and service are good. I have to say that Chefs de France is my least favorite restaurant in Epcot, if not in all of WDW. I personally do not find many of the menu items appealing, and I have found the service to be unfriendly at best. I am sure others will have different opinions, but that's just my 2 cents.

On my first night at Disney in 1990 (age 10), we ate at Alfredo, and we have gone back several times since. So I think I see it with a bit of a rosy glow. I think the food is good, and the kids will probably find something they enjoy or at least recognize on the menu. It is definitely a little more populated and busy than the other two, but I don't know that it detracts from anything.

If you have adventurous eaters in your house, then give Marrakesh a try. I think a lot of people are pleasantly surprised by the food, and the atmosphere is definitely unique. It might be something the kids really enjoy, and it's a nice cultural lesson. :) As for Chefs de France, I have had very good experiences here. That said, I find the whole menu appealing. If you're not a huge fan of French food in general, I'd try one of the others.

We have eaten at all three, with Le Cellier and Marrakesh as recently as 4 weeks ago. Marrakesh was one of our favorite dining experiences at WDW, until recently.... Read my review:

Le Cellier has gotten really good reviews on these boards but I never knew how accurate these reviews were till we tried it recently. It is now our favorite restaurant. The service and food were outstanding.

We have not eaten at Alfredos for over 10 years. I don't know why but our first experience there was so unmemorable that we have not had the desire to go back.

Of thes three Le cellier is undoubtably the one to choose.

I would pick Alfredo's. I think there will be something on the menu that everyone will enjoy. We ate there for lunch in December and really enjoyed it.

I can only comment on Marrakesh as it has been 10 yrs since I've eaten at Chefs and never at Alfredos.

My DH, DD11 and I ate at Marrakesh in March 2005. I like all types of food and enjoy the opportunity of having so many options available. That said - the food was okay, maybe a 6 on a scale of 10. The service was horrible - I'd have a hard time giving it a 2. We did not have ADRs but were seated within 20 minutes at around 6:40. We were able to put in our order and then I began to feel as if we were in the twilight zone. We watched the dancer (entertainment was nice), we watched tables around us fill up, people eat and depart. We inquired about our order and made it clear we did not want to miss Illuminations. It finally came about the time Illuminations started, no drink refills. We did miss Illuminations. I do not consider myself a complainer but I did ask to speak to someone about the service. We were told that our server had left :confused3 and that accounted for the lack of service - huh!! I think they did take 5% off our bill.

Anyway - needless to say it left a poor taste in my mouth. i will try it again someday just to be fair but it will be a long time.

Just one person's experience - maybe it was just an off night. Plenty of people have had a nice experience there.

Boy I don't know what I was reading, I thought you wrote Le Cellier when you actually wrote Chefs...Selective eyesight I Guess :confused3 ...

Just replace the word Chefs with LeCellier in my previous post. Even though Le Cellier is now our favorite Chefs comes a real close second. we have eaten there about 4 times now and everytime it has been great. We have been in the "greenhouse" every time great for people watching.

I have my ADR confirmation numbers, but does Disney send me any type of "hard copy"? Will I receive anything when I check in?

You will not get a written confirmation, unless you are staying CL.
If you go to the Lobby Concierge when you check in they can print you a copy.

We recently ate at Chef's and thought the food was really good. Our server was very nice and took the time to talk to us and answer all of our questions. My DD's 8 & 6 both enjoyed the food.

My wife and I went for two weeks this past Sept./Oct. on the free dining plan. So needless to say we ate at alot of different resturants. Alfredo's was definatly in the top 3 for both of us. We did not venture to try the others though, so I can't give an opinion on them.

I thought I was the only one who had this kind of experience at Marrakesh based on what I've read on this board, but I have to say I agree 100%. We tried it two years ago and it was the single worst service I have ever received at WDW. We found the food marginal, but the server was outright rude. He barely spoke two words to us, took our order, slammed our food down on the table and never checked back again until he dropped off the check without another word. I had to flag him down to let him know that we had planned on dessert, and he sighed loudly to make sure we knew we were inconveniencing him.

That's the only meal we've had at WDW where we actually walked away hungry, upset, and determined to never go back again. I'm glad that other's have had a better experience, but once was enough for me.

That said, I find Alfredo's to be ridiculously overpriced for the small portions, but the chocolate mousse alone was worth the price of admission ;)

Definately Alfredo's, although its not a great italian restaurant.
