How have the lines been for just regular seating (without dinner)?? How early should we get in line? I've just heard mixed reports about things not being as crowed as in the past possibly due to the economy. We're going this weekend so I'm curious about other's experiences.

Thanks so much!

I attended this past weekend and was in line 90 mins ahead of the 5 pm performance and was seated in the last row, but I did notice some people were in line over 2 hours early.

We had the dinner package for tonight's 8:15 show, and based on how long the line was at 7:30, I'd be amazed if anyone from standby got in.

I was at that show last night too, and I don't think anyone from standby got in. I still saw dinner package people hustling around before the show trying to find a seat. It was packed! If anyone is looking to do a show from the standby line, get there at least 2 hours before and maybe try one of the earlier shows.

We attended the 8:15 show on Saturday, Thanksgiving weekend. Got in line about 7:40 and were seated in the first row, center right, immediately behind reserved seating.

Several hundred people who got in line after we did were also seated. As always, approximately half the theater was held for standby. Disney does not sell out the theater to packages, nor do they attempt to. As of this writing anyway, seating is approximately 50/50 for packages and standby.

And we spoke with a family in line that had gotten in to the first show by queuing for about an hour. I suspect that with this event, as other concert series in this theater, the 3rd show is the most lightly attended.

I was the 2nd person in the stand=by line for the first show on Friday,November 28th. I got in the 5th row from the last.

We've usually been in line a hour before the earliest show.

Remember that one or two people can be accomodated more easily than a larger group. Sometimes we've been waved in past others because it's just DH and me.

I have waited over 2 hrs before ( last year) and still did not get into the theater at all. This is really really popular.

which showing seems to be the most attended? Or are they all evenly attended? I didn't plan really well and did not make a CP dining package. Thought maybe we'd wing it and see what happens. I was thinking maybe the earliest show might be less crowded

ETA ~ I just called Disney and was able to get a CP dining package! I can't believe they had any left at this point. We are seeing the 5:00 show on 12/20 and we get to see Abigail Breslin which is who I had hoped we'd get to see narrate. Yay!
