I would do what your RD FEA then head to TT single rider line then soaring

I would have FP booked at HS starting at 1 or 2 for RnR ( yes there is a single rider line but this can be very slow ) I would do stand by for TSMM as with the third track it really has not been that long of a wait then your other I would do the other two FP as soon to the first one as you can so you may get lucky and get a FP for TSMM ( so you should be done with all your rides by 3;30-400 ( it is 5:22 where I am and I just looked and for 2 people there is still FP for RnR and TSMM left today. RnR has 6:10,6:50,7:10 and TSMM 6:25,6:50,6:55

I have done all theme parks in one day so doing 2 should be fine

I like your plan. We tend to do Epcot and HS on the same day, and when we do, we start at Epcot and finish at HS, with our fastpasses at HS (Toy Story, ToT, Star Tours). RnR no longer agrees with me, so if the bf wants to do that, he does so single rider while I either do an extra ride on ToT or shop for pins. Like others have mentioned, I would recommend doing Frozen first. That ride line builds the quickest and is the first to get to a ridiculous wait. If skipping the breakfast at GG isn't a big deal, I'd cancel that, go straight to Frozen at RD, then back to Soarin', then over to TT single rider. This is exactly what we did at the end of September and it worked very well. 12 minute wait for Frozen, two rides on Soarin' basically walk on, and then less than a 15 minute wait via the TT single rider line (2 times through here).

I've found the RnR single rider line to be super slow. It gets really backed up and can be 30+ minutes. Test Track about the same though. I've had much better luck with Everest single rider.

But if you don't have a FP & the standby line is 60+ then it's still a deal. We recently did TT with a single rider line of 45 minutes. But compared to close to 90 minutes for standby...it was the better option.

Yeah, I don't disagree with that at all. It sometimes might be the best option, and certainly if it cuts a bunch of time off the standby line. Have to say that I have a hard "no lines longer than 30 minutes" rule. I'll just go back to the resort and drink a beer by the pool before waiting more than 30 minutes. Others in my family are a bit more willing to wait.

Well then you wouldn't have ridden anything beyond your fastpasses if you were there the week we were there. Nor would you have been at the pool with a beer bcuz it was so cold they closed them. Most everything was 60-90 with a few 120. Yes. Even Jungle Cruise & POC had like 55 min waits. HM was like 75. A couple times we saw the standby line for Space literally out the front door. We actually waited like 30 minutes for the People Mover one night bcuz it was the shortest line we could find!! Sometimes a 30 minute rule just doesn't cut it.

Well then you wouldn't have ridden anything beyond your fastpasses if you were there the week we were there. Nor would you have been at the pool with a beer bcuz it was so cold they closed them. I've never had a problem riding the rides that we want. Show up 30 minutes before park opening, take advantage of EMH, take a midday break and stay late and you can ride the vast majority of rides without waiting more than 20 minutes or so, though we also don't go over Thanksgiving, Christmas, Easter or any of the other super busy times because of the line issue. Standing in line all day isn't my idea of a vacation, and I'm certainly not paying thousands of dollars to stand in line.

And I'm ok with a beer at the bar if the pool is closed. Didn't know they even closed the pools because of weather. I've been there in January and February when it was super cold and the pools were open, at least as far as I can recall. Water parks were closed though.


On edit, we skipped Peter Pan altogether last trip. It isn't high priority for us so by the time we rode everything else at MK the line was 45 minutes plus and we aren't waiting in that line for a 3 minute ride.

Thanks for everyone's replies and advice! I think we will do Epcot in the AM by rope dropping Test track, and cutting back to do soarin standby, and using FP for Frozen (and 2 throwaways). We canceled the ADR at GG. Given my investigations of FP availability, we'll probably try for fourth FP for TSSM at HS and try to use our dummy bands when we get there to get ToT, Rockin, Star Tours.

deciding factors were:
-local crowd at Epcot on friday evenings
-realizing same day FP were still available for TSSM
-realizing that standby for FEA is not a smart idea

I guess you have been super lucky then on your previous trips.

This was our 4th January trip and this was the first time they officially closed the pools while we were there. They had a "feels like 28" temp one evening and the next day wasn't much warmer so they closed them from Saturday afternoon/evening until Monday morning. It was a new thing for us to see happen too but they left a voice mail on our room phone informing us of the closures. While we generally avoid the Easter and Christmas holidays we do go in the busy summer season, for F&W and sometimes in January right after New Years while our DS is home on his winter college break. This was the first time we'd EVER had a wait for the People Mover. Ever. It was just plain busier than expected and a LOT busier than the same week the year before. Gotta roll with the punches when that happens. Nobody LIKES to wait in a line but we also weren't going to waste our time sitting in the room complaining over having to wait more than 30 minutes to ride something. Sounds like a better plan. Maybe you could just move your GG ADR to a different time - have more of a brunch time?

I saw some posts that said it was super-busy this January. Sorry that happened during your trip. Having to wait for people mover is pretty crazy.
