We will be visiting US Nov. 22-24, and then moving to Disney. Universal is uncharted territory for me, and I have heard conflicting info regarding EP’s.

Obviously, saving money would be ideal, but if a resort with EP’s is necessary then I’ll go for it. We are a family of 5, and are huge Potterheads. I could possibly add another day to US, and take one off of Disney. We are APH’s there, so I can mess with that schedule some.

So you would have maybe two full days for the darkside?

Arriving on Thanksgiving day and don't know how early you will be checking into the hotel.

If it were me and I only had a couple of days during a holiday period, I would spring for the hotel with the free ep.

If it were just two of you, a couple, you could easily use the single rider lines but with 5 in your group, not as good for staying together on rides.

Staying at an onsite deluxe with free unlimited EP is the way to go any time of the year, but especially so at peak and holiday times.
A one night stay will get you two full days of EP! You'd definitely be able to do a lot! and all the HP rides are included with EP! You will have an amazing time!:)

We are going Nov 17-20. We did the same thing last year and on the Tues before Thanksgiving it's noticably pretty busy so booking HRH (or RPR is a good call). It'll help things go a lot smoother.

It certainly will spoil you! Every time we have gone to Universal, have stayed on site mostly HRH, RP, once at PBH. HR is my fav, but like RP as well..both are so convenient! You will love the convenience and truly can't beat EP! :thumbsup2:cheer2:

HRH is our favorite, too - but they're all lovely hotels!! Yes- love being spoiled with the EP!:)

I’ve been there the past 2 Thanksgivings and will be there again this year. I strongly advise EP. The parks get pretty busy. But EP kept our waits pretty reasonable.

We are going this week as well. We always stay off site and don't have EP. We go for 5 days so have lots of time to ride everything and don't have a problem. We go when the park opens and go home after lunch to rest/eat dinner and head back to close the park. We are from Philly and used to waiting 45+ min for rides at parks here. So we really don't mind waiting but 45 min is the most we will do.
