How early can you book a room reservation at the onsite universal hotels with the entertainment card?

I booked our room in October 2002 for July 2003, and then kept calling back every few days to ask if the Entertainment Rate was out yet. When it came out about a month later, I asked the CM to apply it to my ressie, and that's that! I'm saving $500 because of the E Rate.

I think the important thing is to lock in the room, and then call back and apply the discounted rate later on if there is one. Sometimes the rooms at the discount rates sell out very fast.
