Does anyone know if there is an entertainment book rate for June in the entertainment book? Also, does anyone think there's any chance the railroad will open early? We are going the 4th - 7th and it is supposed to open again on the 8th!

I know a bunch of us called the hotel directly, asked for in-house reservations and were able to book for $54/night. This was a while ago though - not sure if it would still be available - but definitely worth a shot.

As to the railroad opening early, I'd say highly doubtful. They're doing some major track replacement.

I just got my book, but I noticed that the hotel reservations aren't dated at all, they are just codes.

I just called. She didn't give me the entertainment rate amount, but she put me on hold and said that the better rate (of entertainment, AAA, government or AP) was AP at $126.65. I'll try back tomorrow :rotfl2:

This was for June 18/19 BTW

Did you ask for in house reservations?

Did you ask for in house reservations?

I did. I called the local number, asked for inhouse, she said she was transfering to the reservation desk...not sure if that is in our out house (:lmao: ). But I'll give it a try again tomorrow :rotfl2:

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: They might not have that deal anymore then. I called a few months ago, and got a Park view room for $69. per night.

I don't believe they have the rate anymore. We made reservations in May for May 9th, and we asked about June 10th and 11th for the special rate, and they said last date they had available was June 3rd I think. Then they said they didn't have the $54 rate available again until September. Or maybe August. I can't quite remember which, but I think Sept. makes more sense.

is there something special you have to do to get the 54/nt rate for Sept? Is there a code? I don't have the book so am curious how this works....

You need to talk to in-house reservations. Ask them if there is an entertainment rate offered for your dates of stay. If they have one, you can go ahead and book it without the book. However, you will then need to purchase the book at entertainment.com. They cost anywhere between $20-$40. You can purchase the book for where you live, so you can use the other coupons in it. You will need to take the plastic card included in the front of the book and present it at check-out in order to receive the discounted rate.

HTH.

also found books are 9.99 now and thru sunshinerewards.com you get 2.00 back too

just an fyi

Well LOL. I emailed them :rolleyes1 and I definatly had inhouse....and feel like a dork LOL. The girl that emailed me back is the one I made the reservations with....she's a sweety...here's what she said. BTW...my Date is June 18th

I think I just spoke to you on the phone. Unfortunately the full Entertainment discount is not showing available for the date you are staying. The next best discount was the Annual pass holder discount which has been extended to you. If you have any additional questions please feel free to email us back. Take care and have a wonderful day.

ETA: Is there something going on that night? The 18th? I tried booking through Marriot TownPlace (who has fabulous 'government' rates) and they had no availability that night. It's DHs Birthday LOL...but is there anything ELSE special going on!?!!????

Does the HoJos have dual sinks in every room and micro/fridges as well?

As far as I know, only some of the rooms have dual sinks. I know the Queen/Queen rooms in Bldg. 1 do, but the Queen/Queen rooms in Bldg. 2 do not. I;m not sure about the other bldgs.

All rooms have mini fridges, but the only rooms that have microwaves are the "office" rooms.
