Enter AK through Rain Forest Cafe?

I read a while ago on these boards something about entering AK early through a back door in the Rain Forest Cafe....

Can anyone give me more information on this??? Thanks!

Yes, there's an entrance from the back door kind of like the "back door" to EPCOT from the EPCOT hotels.

There's just a ticket reader and finger-scanner at the exit of Rainforest Cafe's "outdoor garden".

If there's not many people going in that way, its fine.

But sometimes its as busy as the rest of the ticket gates.

No real advantage as it enters DAK at virtually the same place as all of the regular gates.

Hummm.....I thought the post also mentioned something about being able to enter slightly before park opening from there. No?

I think I would stick to entering at the front gates in the mornings. When we were there last June, the restaurant and the front gates opened at the same time. At that point, there was a pretty large crowd at the entrance to the restaurant (waiting to be seated for breakfast). It would be pretty time consuming to fight that crowd, make your way through the store and out the back entrance.

If you arrive sometime after the park has officially opened and there is still a line at the front gate, it might be worth it to enter through the Rainforest if there is no crowd there waiting to be seated.

Well, you can enter the park early all you want.. but you can't get to anything until after the Adventure begins at the rope drop at Discovery Island.
