Things always seem to turn ugly when major events occur. It has been a pattern since I joined in 2000.

War...Turned ugly
9/11...Turned ugly
Katrina...Turned ugly
Gore/Bush election...still ugly
Bush/Kerry election...Turned ugly
Refillable mugs...Ugly
Smoking in a non smoking room...Ugly
More than 4 to a room....Ugly
Peanuts....Ugly
Conservatives...Ugly
Liberals...Ugly
Breastfeeding in public...Ugly
Saving places for parades...Ugly
Pool hopping...Ugly
Towel Animals...really ugly
SAHM...Ugly
Working Moms...Ugly
Public schools...Ugly
Home schooling...Ugly

Bottom line is that UGLY has been happening on the CB for years. Some of the most brutal threads I've read have been non political.

Whenever you have a large community of humans with strong emotions things are bound to turn nasty. It is unfortunate but true.

I pick and choose what I read and respond to. I come to the DIS for entertainment. When it begins to raise my blood pressure I walk away.

Cooking in your room - very, very ugly.

And two groups that are even uglier to each other than the Republicans vs Democrats -

The Disney vs. Universal wars.

Now those threads can get nasty!!!

OP, we have yet to get to the post election season here on the DIS. I try and stay away the best I can.

I don't know who the OP's are, but I personally enjoy reading everything I can from the far left, far right and everything in between. from legitimate news accounts to ridiculous blogs. And if the OP's are supposed to get the message out, then so be it. I'm lazy. And you got to admit, with everybody's different opinion, the CB is the least skewed place to go. You get everybody's opinion.

we have DCL rent some of those old ships that were going to become fish reefs, then wait for a tropical storm...then...anchors aweigh!!!
