When has the CB become a hateful place. The nastiness on both sides is terrible. It is like we all have become school house bullies. I have seen it on both sides--I got called a name so I will say one back only nastier.
That is why I am a lurker when I venture out I am called a troll-so I usually just read and occassionally posted.
We do live in America where everyone can voice their opinion. Everyone has that right. My sons and all the other men and women in uniform make sure we are free to do this without fear
By now when you see the topic and who started and know you will disagree wouldn't be easier to stay away. Why stir the pot

It looks like a lot of people need to grow up and will have a lot of fences to mend after the election.

It's been a hateful place for a looooooooong time. The elections bring out this every four years. I remember Katrina got really ugly too.

I happen to enjoy the back and forth, and find very little of it hateful....some of it is, but that is america. We should all celebrate the fact that we are all here participating in the process. I think some of the indignation is easily solved by not paying attention!!

Maybe it's just me, but I don't find the CB to be that hateful at all. Sure, there are times I have seen threads get fairly heated, but they seem few and far between. I will admit that I stay clear of any political threads, so maybe that has something to do with my perception?

I've wanted to say JUST SHUT THE HELL UP so many times. All politicians are crooks in some way or another ALL OF THEM! What will be will be and I'm sure none of the hateful remarks from one side to the other is going to change ANYONES mind on who they vote for. So honestly what does it accomplish?

This election has made good people turn ugly.....on all side of the isle...on all message boards, Media, Internet, You Tube, the papers and so on.....

It is tiring and has engulfed us all. No sooner do I try to get away from all the politics on the CB and I look to find another thread not about politics on the CB and as I am looking for a fun thread .....WHAM! another political thread has popped up and I am sucked right back in again.....

I do not like what this election has done to me...or for me.....

To those that I have said things to that made them mad or upset I am sorry.......will I most likely say something I shouldnt again in the midst of this election...yup....

Hopefully it will calm down after this election...

In all seriousness, this is how the CB has always been, at least since I've been here. Right now it's mostly focused on the election but after it ends, people will continue being nasty about something else.

I don't agree that it's always been like this. It hasn't been this bad. I don't even think the last election got THIS bad. IT was bad however. Sure there are always smart alec people on one thread or another but I've been here for as long as I can remember and it's never been post after post after post of people posting the same things over and over and over and them all being negative. Usually you can just skip over the nasty threads but when they are all nasty ????????
