Enjoy a Bigger Budget with Rewards from QuickRewards.net - Help Inside

My $50 Disney gift card arrived in this morning's mail! :cool1: And I'm glad to hear there is no expiration date or loss of value. Thanks for checking into that!

My mom is another person who did not believe I would receive it so it will be nice to show her. ;) Actually, she was asking me what other gift certificates options there were (as she has no interest in Disney), and I think I pricked her interest when I mentioned ebay.

So, more questions for you Becky! Is there a referral program in place? My mom just may want to sign up and try QR out for eBay gift certificates. If so, she may as well sign up with my referral so I get the points/cash towards Disney, right? ;)

Oh, side note here and sort of to B&Bforever as well -> I'm from Canada and the few tasks or sign ups that I'm interested in... I cannot do them either. There is very few I actually will want to do so it's annoying, I know.

I have been finding surveys to be slim pickings since I cashed out $50. From March 19th to today, I have only earned $4.72 and was able to qualify/complete just 2 surveys. Ugh. Hopefully this will pick up again.

Disney Addicted, regarding having different IP addresses going through a router: are you positive about that? Because I've heard about a whole lot of people getting booted from another to-remain-unnamed points-based rewards program because membership was limited to one account per IP, and it was husbands and wives using different computers through the same router.

Just not sure how this works on QR (again, shopping is my field of expertise), but I'll ask Dmitry how QR determines if it's multiple accounts per IP. I'd think that if there were two distinct IPs, it would be okay for spouses to have their own accounts and their own individual daily limits for surveys.

Hmm.. it was always my understanding that the way a router works is to take the IP address and "split it", assigning each computer a different IP address. I will run this past my Internet Provider before we attempt to sign up a new account for my husband. I will get them to show me how to get each computer to show me it's IP address so I can verify they are different.

If I'm wrong about each computer having it's own IP address we just will not sign my husband up. But if they do, then we will give it a shot and see what happens.

If it turns out QR's computers say otherwise and have an issue with 2 accounts, my husband's account can be deleted and I will just continue with my own. Would that be all right?

if you're shopping through QR and you use a coupon code you obtained from an email newsletter or another website like a coupon site, you risk not getting cashback from QR. Some coupon codes are issued to one specific website, or are exclusive to email subscribers. When you use those, the merchant says, "Hey, this person wouldn't have placed the order had it not been for this coupon, so QR doesn't deserve sales commission on it." And when we don't get sales commission, we don't have anything to share with you.

So if you're going to place an order and you don't see a coupon listed on QR, or if you've seen a coupon on another site and you're wondering if QR has access to a similar or better discount, please email me before ordering and I'd be happy to see what we have available that won't void cashback. I'm online most of the day and can get back with you within a couple of hours if not immediately.

What if the coupon comes directly from the company's website themselves? For example, I'm thinking of the Disney Store. Yesterday they were offering 25% off orders with the code HAPPY25. I debated over purchasing 3 items but with Disney being sold out of the watch & iPad cover I really wanted & the shipping fees to Canada, I changed my mind. Or am I being dense and it's the same thing?

And just as a reminder, or as a new but important piece of info for our newbies: if you're shopping through QR and you use a coupon code you obtained from an email newsletter or another website like a coupon site, you risk not getting cashback from QR. I am signed up for a lot of retailed e-mail lists, so I get coupons all the time. For example, today I got my own private coupon code from Barnes & Noble that I would enter on checkout. Since this coupon is directly from the retailer, does that make it ok? Or are you saying that any coupons that aren't for everyone (like yesterday's 25% at the Disney Store) are going to void the cashback? I can e-mail you my coupon code, but I wouldn't want to do that everytime, especially if it's only available for a limited time, and I just get around to looking at it an hour before it expires (yes, I can be a last-minute online shopper at times).

I also want to thank QR. I cashed out over $30 through Paypal and transferred the cash to my bank account. It took about 48 hours from start to finish.

Now I can take the cash and use it to buy a disney gift card or just use it for anything.

I'm having trouble redeeming my accumulated 'cash rewards' for gift cards/certificates. The certificate I wanted is no longer available, and I can't find out from the Help Desk (not sure if this is the right name?) which, if any, of the remaining cards and certificates are valid for use in Canada--Help Desk person suggested I call the stores in question! Doesn't seem right to me--surely the cards/certificates say on them if they can be used in Canada? I really doubt if anyone at Sears would know what sort of a gift card/certificate QuickRewards gives out.
If they're not useable anywhere in my area or country, I guess I've just been wasting my time on QuickRewards.

Can you use Paypal? It's much more secure that some of the surveys that give me hundreds of junk emails everyday now.

I would not be able to tell you about the gift certifications that can be used here either as I'm collecting strictly Disney gift cards for WDW. Like the PP, my first thought was PayPal as an option. I'm sure you will get an answer soon.

Becky -->> I found the referral information on QR's website and sent off a link to my mom. I doubt she will do surveys, but even if she just clicked the 16 links for a penny each & did the daily clicks on the website (no surveys), she should be able to earn a $5 ebay certificate very month. I can see her using the QR shopping links for cashback as well.

Thanks for the suggestion, but we don't use Paypal at all now, since DH's account was hacked.

well the last time i posted a update was 3-8 and i only had 2.33 and i was frustrated and had won the guess the nmbr game so that gave me excitement to try again with the surveys (especially since i only work 18 hrs wk) anywho i currently have 65.71 and im still waiting on crdts. id say thats awesome in just almost a month.since i have too much time on my hands what i do is when i first get up in the morning i check all try all surveys.even if i dont qualify ill click it again and sometimes i qualify after trying 2 or 3 times( and no i dont put in false or fake information) afterwards i would check again sometimes at noon and 4 or right around 8pm just keep checking several times aday youd be surprised what you qualify for.i did some surveys and after completing was offered to later on participate in a 90 minute and 70 minute survey which would pay 25 and 30 bucks each.which would be mailed to me in 2-3 weeks which i just done those surveys last week and the week before.so thats a plus.since the 1st of april i have done 23 surveys totaling 16.95 and i missed 2 days of doing surveys but its fine. i have 8.00 to go for my token doubling.but i just wanted to share that with everyone b.c sometimes it can get discouraging but dont give up keep trying.my goal is 2 average atleast 2 bucks aday but yesterday and today i qualified for more than i ever have so im greatful. just want to thank qr for all that they do....thanx everyone

Hi Becky
Another question for you.

I noticed today that a lot of my surveys ars manually crediting and they are not adding to my Elite progress bar.

I'm just wondering cause about 1/3 of the surveys I've done this month are manual credits.

Thanks for your help.

Hi Becky,
I am having no luck on deletinng my account or unsubscribing from e-mails. After two weeks of trying to do surveys and not qualifying ....I am done(I am from Canada). Now I spend my time just deleting e-mails.I have written and unsubscribed at least 50 times, but I still keep getting e-mails.Do you have any advice for me.Thanks

B&Bforever, great question! The only surveys that advance the progress bar are the daily routers. All other surveys (those that say to wait 3 to 7 days for credit) are processed differently. On our end, they don't auto-credit but instead credit in a batch once a week.

HOWEVER, at the end of the quarter we run another process that adds in the non-router completions and includes them in your progress toward Elite status. So they really are included in the totals, they're just not reflected on the status bar.

I know that's kind of confusing and I apologize! You can see the other credits in your account under the manual credit section.

Susie63, I'm sorry that you're having this problem! If you'll please email me directly at becky@quickrewards.com, and let me know the email address you use at QR, I will take care of this personally.

Hi, I was thinking about signing up. In reading the terms of service saw it states that you are responsible for knowing if your state has any laws regarding incentive sites and taxes. Where would I find that information about Alabama's laws?

Help desk told me my tokens from playing games should transfer automatically in 24 hrs its been over a week it hasn't happened.what should I do?

Hi, disney fan4! This just refers to the fact that we have to send out a 1099 form for members who earn more than $600 a year. If you expect to earn that much (and we have a LOT of folks who do!), you may want to speak to your tax advisor.

Howdy, aprilj313! If you were referring to tokens for the trivia and Guess My Number games, those do credit the following day. If you meant QRPlay, this module is still in beta testing, but Dmitry tells me it should be live this summer, and at that point all earned tokens will transfer to your QR account.

Hope this helps - please let me know if you have other questions!

You are half right :)

Your provider assigns a primary IP to the modem. Depending on your setup you either have a modem/router combo, or you have a seperate router plugged in to the modem. Either way the router uses the primary and assigns it's own IPs to your individual computers/game consoles, etc.. on your home network. The only IP that is detectable by the web is your primary IP though, so even though your machines have their own IP within your home network, the web just sees the primary.

Example: I am an internet gamer, I ticked someone off in a game and they banned me using my IP address. This also banned my son from using his computer to play (he was not happy lol)

Geeky techy details: My primary IP is 67.241.144.232 (What's My IP) This IP is the same from whatever computer I use in my house to check it. This is the IP that is seen by the internet

BUT....each computers individual IPv4 address (IP assigned from the router) thru your home network will be different by 1 number. usually 192.168.0.1; 192.168.0.2; 192.168.0.3 etc etc...(For Windows 7 - You can see what your IPv4 numbers are by going to Control Panel -->Network and Internet-->Network and Sharing center, click on Local Area Connection and then details)

We have 1 desktop, 3 laptops, a tablet, 4 video game systems and 3 smartphones that connect thru our home network which means we have 12 different IPs within our network using the primary IP.

Summary: Websites only recognize the primary IP so if a website states only one signup per IP, this limits it to one signup per household. :cool2:

Hi. I'm still trying to figure out how to make money with QR, and have a question about the daily e-mails we receive, especially the QR Search. These are the ones that give you 25 QP for doing a search once per hour.

Do I have to search AND click on the search results, or do I just have to do a search?

Thanks for the help. I'm up to $17.15, but the last time I posted a question, I was only at $4. So I'm doing SOMETHING better.

Hi. I have a question. I signed up about a week ago. Ive done so many surveys, completed the daily tasks such as the trivia, the quess my number, the searches, ect. Im only up to 1.60. There are a few surveys that I spent a lot of time on and then something messed up. I would start over and the same thing would happen. Every time I would get a blank page and refresh only to have to start over. I tried to email customer support and all I got back in return was try another browser. I dont want to install another browser just to do surveys. Also, a few surveys Ive yet to receive my money on and its been over the alloted time stated on the main survey page. I could really use some help.

Thank you!

Hi, all!

SenecaWolf, thanks so much for the info regarding IPs on different computers in the same household! Glad to have a definite confirmation on how that works!

ckpoodge, I'm glad that you're making some progress in boosting your QR balance! Although we reward members for doing a search, we will lose the advertiser if people do nonsense searches or search for the same term each time. So it's our hope that members will search for something they're genuinely interested in and if they see an interesting result, feel free to click it.

SgtsWifeandmommyof4, I'm glad that you joined us on QR and thanks for writing with your concerns! I'd so much rather the opportunity to work with a member on fixing an issue than have them just quit the site!

Trivia, searches, and Guess My Number are all fun, but they're more of the "every little bit adds up" variety of earning where the surveys, signups, and offers are the big ones that give your account a quick boost.

The members who earn the most with us are those who are doing surveys. What I think I'm hearing you say is that you're having two kinds of issues:

1. Technical problems with surveys themselves that give you an error message, and
2. Surveys that are completed not automatically crediting to your account.

The first one does happen on occasion -- not often, thankfully -- but sometimes shoddy programming will cause a survey to error out. We don't program the surveys ourselves (we just send properly targeted members to the survey companies). But because we want to keep our members happy and continuing on with us as active survey-takers, if you ever get an error in a survey, just email support and we will credit you for the completion.

Also, please pay close attention to your answers during the survey. If you provide contradictory answers, or if you fail a quality control question, they may boot you out of the survey for that. If you notice that they ask you your age, gender, etc. at the beginning of a survey, and then again at the end, they're checking you out there to make sure you're being consistent.

Now about that #2 one, surveys that don't autocredit. 99% of the time this is because the member does also does surveys through another survey website. Daily survey routers limit their completions to one per IP per day (or up to 5, I think it is, in the case of SI surveys). If you complete, for example, a Greenfield survey through another survey website, this sets a cookie on your computer to let the company know not to pay you again today. Clearing the cookies on your computer before going to QR (or opening our emails) to do surveys with us fixes almost every complaint of surveys not auto-crediting. But sometimes people get irritated at this because they like not having to continually re-enter their logins and passwords to every site they frequent.

That's what our support team member meant when they suggested that another browser might help. It only takes 2 or 3 minutes to download Safari or Chrome, so our support folks often suggest that if you have crediting problems, going through a different browser may fix the issue. Clearing cookies on the browser you prefer to use should also do the trick.

Have you completed the survey profiler in our survey section? That qualifies you to be invited into additional surveys (not just the daily routers) that are targeted to your particular demographics, so you're more likely to complete them... and they also tend to be worth more. These targeted surveys credit to your account on Mondays, so if you've done some of these and didn't get paid for them yet, that's expected, just watch your credits the following Monday and let us know if anything is still missing then.

When surveys don't auto-credit, we don't get paid for them, either (our system processes payment to the member at the exact moment that we ourselves are credited by the survey company). When we offer manual credits, we do it as a courtesy at a loss to us, because if you're not paid, that means we weren't paid, either. So it really is in our best interest to help you get auto-crediting consistently.

I hope that some of this made sense and that the cookie clearing or trying a new browser will help!

I also wanted to mention that signing up for newsletters, entering contests, etc. can also be pretty lucrative, and what some folks don't know is that you can use any email address for those offers. Because they may generate spam, you can create an alternate email address on Hotmail or Yahoomail, for example, to use when you do these so your primary address doesn't get additional email.

Please let me know if you have any other questions or problems and I'll do my best to help! Thanks for joining us on QR -- glad to have you aboard!
