DH & I would love to take our girls on this trip... I have a few questions.

1) other than the package price and airfare...were there a lot of additional costs on this trip?

2) for the hotel rooms, our DDs would be 13 & 11... how do the hotel rooms work? Would they give us adjoining rooms?

3) Are there kid friendly foods everywhere on this trip?

4) did you book your airfare through ABD?

Thanks!

DH & I would love to take our girls on this trip... I have a few questions.

1) other than the package price and airfare...were there a lot of additional costs on this trip? Kind of depends on your definition of "a lot". :) There are a few meals "on your own" which is an additional cost (so you can do a family meal and/or explore). And then there are the tips for the Adventure Guides. Beyond that, it's up to you. If you want to fly in a day or two early (HIGHLY recommended for several reasons!) there's that expense. Souvenirs are obviously extra. But as far as the basic trip is concerned, that's basically it.

4) did you book your airfare through ABD? I did for this trip. Sometimes I do, sometimes I don't. Booking through ABD is basically just like booking through a Travel Agent. They don't have special group pricing like cruiselines do. You can call them and they can research the airfare for you and book it, or you can find exactly the flight you want, and have them book exactly what you want for you (assuming it's still available when you call them). At that point, you can still pick your own seats, etc, but you'd have to go through ABD for any actual changes, just as if a TA booked it. If you're already going through a TA, then you'd probably want to go through that TA.

Thanks!

2) Travelled with DH, DS(15) and DD(13). We were given 2 rooms at each hotel. Our rooms were close but not adjoining. We split into a girls room and boys room. Even families with younger children seemed to be assigned rooms similarly.

3) I don't recall any lack of options for children at meals provided by ABD. At buffets there were child friendly sections. When on your own, you are in London and Paris with all the big city offerings.

Hope this helps.
