Engagement!

Hey All!

I was just wondering if any of you have gotten engaged at Walt Disney World?! My boyfriend and I have been having "the talk" and we are going to WDW for NYE, so if it were to happen, my guess would be that it was there! I just wanted to hear other people's experiences or if they have any ideas on how to make an engagement really special!

My fiance proposed to me in the Rose Garden in front of the castle back in March! We're getting married down there next summer =] I know he tried to get me on one of the floats to propose, but it was perfect just being at Disney!

DF proposed to me on one of the specialty cruises that go out during the fireworks. He did right towards the end of them and we got pictures of him proposing. They were taken by the boat driver(who was in on the whole plan). It was truly magical!! That was almost 2 years ago and I remember every minute of that evening like it was yesterday and here we are getting married in less than 4 months!!

My DF proposed less than a month ago at WDW. He arranged a private dinner on the fifth floor of the GF. We had a view of the castle during dinner and Wishes during dessert. It was very special, even though he says pretty much everything that could have went wrong, did go wrong, lol!

My DF proposed to me this past February on the bridge at CSR at night. It was so romatic!!! We stopped to look at the lights of the resort, it was so peacefull and quite then he got down on one knee and proposed. We have been together for 7 1/2 years but it still came as a complete surprise.

My Fiance proposed to me under the waterfall at the base of the Tree of Life at Animal Kingdom. I love the paths that wind under the tree and we were taking a walk on our way to safari's and he stopped me there got down on one knee and it was beautiful

FI proposed during our last trip (just over a week ago!). I knew it was coming, but not when. He popped the question by Cinderella's Wishing Well. He asked some poor woman to take our picture near the well and then got down one knee during the second picture. The woman's reaction was priceless. Her: "Oh my goodness. Are you serious?" Her daughter: "Ma, don't stop! Keep taking pictures!" So we have pictures of the whole thing!

He also had a tiny glass slipper, which he put the ring on when he proposed. It was perfect.

I got engaged on Space Mountain. I had NO idea it was coming, so needless to say, I was speechless, lol. He asked me and I just nodded.

DH proposed on the Disney Cruise on deck 7 and it was absolutely magical! Nice sea breeze, romantic lights. Beautiful! we got married at Disney's Sunset Pointe this March. Unforgettable. I relive it everyday!

Wow, that is so cool your picture was in the show that night!!!! My DF also proposed in front of the castle. No pictures though because he did it right around midnight when the park was in process of closing for the night and there was not a soul in sight, except us!

My DF proposed to me on 11/15/09 in front of Cinderella's Castle during the Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party! We're getting married 10/22 and are heading down WDW to celebrate our "Disneymoon".

Leading up to our trip, DBF kept talking about a Disney proposal, etc etc. It made for a huge disappointment when the trip came and went and no proposal. Of course after we got home, we had a talk how he can't tease a girl like that Then he told me that he wanted to get the Mickey ring at Uptown Jewelers and propose the last night. YEP, went in one ear and out the other.

That was in May.

He's apparently coming with us on a trip in October.

Since May, we've talked a bit more about it & looked at rings. He's apparently also talked to his mother about rings as well.
The other day, one of his friends asked him to be a part of his wedding. He finally let his sister know, and his sister was like "...is there anything else you want to tell me?" "No.... like what?" "That you're engaged?!"
As he told me about the conversation, he told me how he'd have that day just be "us" and then make calls to let people know the next day.
Hmm... so... we'd be away from his family for at least two days, and that it'd be such a distance he'd have to call...

Okay, maybe I'm reading too much into it But I LOVE reading Disney engagement stories! Keep 'em coming!!

My fiancé proposed to me at the photopass spot right by the rose garden so that Cinderella's Castle was in the background back in May. It was really sweet. We were there getting our picture taken with Disney Photopass and then as I started to walk away after the picture he said hold on and got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. He had it set up so that there were 2 photopass photographers there so we had pictures of proposal. It was such a magical trip!
