I dont know how this works anybody up on it thks Daveb

I proposed to my wife back in 2000 there. If you go on the disney website there are tons of packages that they can do for you. I had them rope off the rose garden and proposed there. You get a couple nice things. I think it cost about $300. For $500 you can get the rose garden at night for the fireworks. Then it goes up from there. Some are really expensive. Take a look.

There is also another service which is not linked to disney. I do not remember the name but if you search these boards for pixie or pixie dust you should get the link. They will plan some specific to your needs. They were very nice when I spoke with them, however I chose to go through disney.

Good luck and good choice in venues. My wife to this day still says that she has never heard a better engagement story then hers. She thinks it was even better then the wedding!

If you have any other questions let me know.

thks Kenny can u provide a link to show me where the disney stuff was and what about that shop anyone know details thks daveb

(Would it be bad to send my boyfriend that link...just in case.... :teeth: ) Just kidding I wouldn't do it but could someone else do it for me... Again just kidding, but wow, this is a lucky girl. Good luck with your surprise!

subscribing in the hopes that Kenny comes back with that link ;)

Try posting on the "Weddings and Disneymooners" page. That's where I normally hang out. I know some of the girls there have gotten engaged at Disney. DH looked into proposing there and was in contact with someone. He decided to go with the dolphins at Discovery Cove... might give the above poster a run for the money ;)

You want to get moving on this. Nexdt week is coming up quickly and I am sure they will need some lead time. I would call and try to get in touch with the Fairy Tale Weddings Department to see if they can let you know who the correct people are (if they aren't). For some reason, I remember DH saying there were 9 packages to choose from.....

xoxo

Tink's Treasures is the name of the store and it's located in Fantasyland directly behind the castle.

If all else fails, just do it in front of the Castle. That's where my fiance did it and it couldn't have been more perfect. :) Good luck!!

I couldn't find the link but was able to find my contract and it had the phone number. MAGIC KINGDOM Engagement office at (407) 824-5130. Try this. If not I would just call Disney and ask.

I looked at my contract and it cost me $305. For that they roped off the rose garden for just us. When we checked in to the Poly, there was a "Special" invitation to a disney meet and greet the characters party. That is how they got us there. Although I have to admit that my wife was upset that we had to stop going on rides to go to it! ha ha. Anyway you go through the rops and down to a little set up in front of the boat dock facing the castle. They had a love seat, sparkling cider(no alcohol in the MK), roses, a glass slipper(engraved) and such. Then after I did it you got to hang out as long as you wanted. It was really cool. People lined up on the bridge to watch and cheer. It was nice to be all alone at disney for a bit. Like I said she talks about it all the time and says it comes real close to even beating the day our daughter was born! lol

Anyway like I said they had sent me a whole package with things I could do. I think it was $500 for the same thing at night during the fireworks. Then you could add on things like Mickey and Minnie(the real characters), violinists, limo's etc. But that gets really really $$$$.

Otherwise the giftsofalifte time planned a really nice thing too for me but I just chose disney instead.

Good luck and let me know if you have any questions.

Last I heard Disney did not offer the engagement packages anymore. I would just call the above number ASAP and see if they are still doing it.

Alas, that is correct, WDW no longer does engagement packages, just weddings, vow renewals, and honeymoons.

Good Luck. No matter what you do, she will love it! (Who wouldn't!!!) :wizard:

I would think that anywhere in WDW that you popped the question would be beyond romantic. I wish my DH had thought of that. It sure beats a commericial break in an episode of the Simpsons :rotfl2: I am so jealous.

Good Luck ! :wizard:
