Engagement Ideas

Thank you so much for the help! I've booked the Chef's Table already and many of the posts are putting me on the fence about it now...I know it's not necessarily as romantic of a setting...but is it more of an "alone" setting where we're away from the rest of the restaurant?

Who is Israel? What sort of magic is he capable of bringing to the dinner? Does anyone know how to reach him?

Thanks again for all of the help!

Also, is Israel part of a department for all of Disney, or just the restaurant?

Israel would likely be a good person to contact, as he is the 'general manager' of V&A. He is who my wedding consultant kept referring to for any of our questions regarding our reception at V&A.

I think proposing during the fireworks would be such a wonderful idea, and hopefully it works out with the time. DF and I have been to V&A 3 times and our experience has lasted about three hours each time. Actually, DF proposed to me after a meal at V&A on the GF beach just before Wishes, after which we walked to the Poly beach to watch them. If it works out time wise you could always have something like this as an option, I felt it really special (but mostly because it replicated a really special evening we had early on in our relationship). Whatever you do your partner will love it, it will be such a special experience and it is so sweet that you are putting so much thought into it.

Wishing you all the best and happy planning :)

Thank you for sending over that link! It's great to see what it looks like in action and I'm glad that it's something that happens very reguarly there.

I'll be sure to get in touch with Israel! Is there a direct line for him, or should I just contact the restaurant?

hi, i'd like to take part of your 7th question. i don't this could be a good idea but i hope somehow my opinion may help. i see that you are having a dinner with your partner and doing nothing after that seems to be boring and unexciting. as a woman myself, i love the idea of having a short walk after dinner, and maybe go for movies, a chitchat with some good old days on a couch and share dreams and talk about future plans. :woohoo:

I can't seem to find the email where our wedding consultant gave us Israel's contact details - it must have been DF that got sent it.

Just call V&A direct, from what DF said they seemed fairly disappointed when he decided not to have the proposal in the restaurant, so I'm sure they will be great and very helpful! They would probably be the best people to contact for his details as well :)
