Enchanted Garden Embarkation Lunch

I'm happy about the change. I like the menu - it seems to cover most everything from a light lunch to a big steak dinner. A shrimp cocktail would have been a nice addition (since shrimp seems to be something people love about the buffet). Otherwise, I'm excited to try this menu in November.

Interested to possibly give it a try. Cabana's on the Dream our last Cruise was absolutely Crazy! What really aggravates us, is that people use it as a "Base camp" until they can get in their state rooms. It took us almost a half hour to get a table because people don't just eat and leave. Granted it is exceptionally busy for embarkation lunch, but people should be considerate of others that actually want to eat.

Very disappointing, we enjoy the quietness of Enchanted Garden and my daughter enjoys the shrimp and crab of the buffet.

Good idea, PrincessTrisha!

The Wonder also does a sit down service in Triton's on embarkation day.
It was wonderful. It was quite and not as stressful as the buffets.
We have cruised numerous times so we were not in a hurry to eat and explore the ship. So this was a nice way to spend the time until our cabin was ready.
Here is the menu:

OT do they still serve breakfast in Enchanted Garden on the Fantasy?

That's bummer news for us -- we really look forward to the embarkation day buffet, but always enjoyed it in the quieter and less hectic MDR. I can do a menu lunch during the rest of the cruise, but I prefer the buffet for embarkation day. Guess we'll be heading to the crowded (no place to put your carry-ons) Cabanas!

And sorry, but that menu is really boring with very few options -- it looks like the typical dinner menu. Oh well.

I have no idea how I missed this news. I understand why I guess, it makes me sad, but hopefully they'll expand the menu a little bit more

We had the new menu on the Fantasy and absolutely loved the change. Such a relaxing way to being our cruise rather than standing in a buffet line. More sanitary, too, of course. Do like the idea of a shrimp cocktail as an appetizer. I had the muffeletta sandwich which was tasty but rather small....the size I would expect on a buffet line frankly. Maybe an inch and a half wide? My son had the penne pasta which was a hit. Now if the embarkation lunch on the Fantasy was changed to Royal Court to reduce the crazy elevator lines on embarkation, all would be perfect IMO.

Love the atmosphere of Enchanted Garden but the buffet line, not so much.. We typically go to Cabana's now. Get your food/drink/eat and leave. Not a fan of wasting time sitting in the main dining restaurants anymore either. Been there, done that.. we would rather spend our time doing the things on the ship that we like to do..

We did EC for our embarkation lunch and enjoyed it. The smaller crowd, quiet and relaxed atmosphere, and no lines made ordering from a menu worthwhile to us. It was a nice relaxing lunch and by the time we finished our rooms were ready (we didn't hurry lunch and there were always tables open).

I wonder if they will keep the buffet breakfast in EG? We really liked that for a change -- while the buffet was smaller, it was so much less hassle and so quiet and relaxed.

I did this on the Wonder in February and service was actually very, very fast. I ordered soup and the steak, while the person with me ordered 2 apps, soup and steak if that makes a difference. I actually preferred this to the old buffet way. No stress, sit down and be waited on! Excited to have the opportunity again on the Fantasy next week!

Is there a lunch buffet at Cabanas every day or just embarkation day?

Since it's now a sit down, menu service in the MDR, I'm guessing you don't know who your serving team is? Since you won't be in your room yet to get your table number. How does that work?

Your table number and dining rotation are on your KTTWC that you get at check in. Your dining team may or may not be there in the EG or even up in Cabanas but you will have your table number and rotation before you get to your cabin.
