"Enchanted:” The E! True Disneyworld Story of a Birthday Princess (UPDATE 4/18)

It IS crazy what's out on DVD! I didn't even think to check to see if shows like that had been released! D'oh! :headache:

Haha, yep they're in Enchanted!!! Here's the run-down:

* Jodi Benson (aka Ariel) plays Patrick Dempsey's receptionist/secretary. When Giselle is peeking in the fish tank at his office, you can vaguely hear an instrumental version of "Under the Sea."

*Paige O'Hara (aka Belle) plays the woman in the soap opera that Prince Edward and Nathaniel watch in their hotel room. The soap's "love" theme is taken from some of "Beauty and the Beast's" instrumentals. Also, the dialogue is very BatB if you listen carefully....

*Judy Kuhn (aka singing Pocahontas) plays the woman with all the kids who answers the door in the apartment building when Prince Edward is searching for Giselle.

I thought it was a very cute nod to the "princesses" of the past to include these lovely ladies in the film. :goodvibes

And Wall-E for only $10? I am SO there. :woohoo:

Today’s kind of a busy day because I’m swamped with schoolwork (which just seems to be inexplicably multiplying by the day), and this evening I have to go see a school play for my theater class. I’m taking both my parents because I didn’t feel like going alone, and they’re always up for a night out on the town, especially if it involves the theater. The play is a comedy, and we chose tonight because they’re serving appetizers before the show, so hopefully it will be pretty fun considering it’s a school assignment.

Okay, this next one has a story behind it that kind of goes with the road trip theme from yesterday:

This was taken on our November trip on arrival day. We were driving the last two or three hours to Orlando from our stop-over hotel, and this silver sedan with two men in it was weaving in and out of the somewhat heavy Sunday morning traffic. What was funny was no matter how the car bobbed and weaved, it never got any further ahead, staying only one to two cars ahead of us. Well, then, we’re driving along, and the silver sedan starts drifting towards the right shoulder…and he’s drifting…and dude, his LEFT tires are crossing the bumpy “stay awake” strip on the shoulder!!! The passenger door is just inches away from the guard rail!!! Aunt C started to honk her horn, but then he was drifting slowly back onto the road like nothing had ever happened!!! We couldn’t believe it. My mom joked that they’d had too many Bloody Marys before their golf game. Haha!

Okay, so tomorrow is also busy, busy (I’m getting my hair done!!! :woohoo: ) so I’ve decided that tomorrow’s post will be a Q and A session. Feel free to ask me whatever question you want, about Disney or just life in general, and I’ll answer you in tomorrow’s super-special interactive update, followed by my own questions for each of you. I thought it would be a fun and interesting way for us all to get to know each other a little better. :grouphug:

Okay, so this weekend ended up being even more crazy busy than I thought it would be. With only three weeks left in the quarter, school has been insane. I have all kinds of papers coming up, and I'm so NOT looking forward to it. :rolleyes: On the bright side, the way the due dates fall, I will be able to complete three of my four classes the weekend before we leave for Disney, which means I'll have about two weeks of spring break instead of just one! :banana: So there's at least SOME good news in this crazy school rush. :goodvibes

I didn't have much done to my hair, just some lighter highlights and a trim to cut off the dead ends and reshape my cut. My hair gets REALLY thick between cuts. I love getting it reshaped just because it takes so much less time to style! :laughing: I'll be sure to share a pic though since it's one of your questions.

I totally meant to have this update posted last night, but I got home from work with a migraine so I was pretty much useless. :headache: But it’s finally here! The answers to all of your awesome questions as well as a few of my own questions! So here we go.....

What is your favourite thing to eat at Disney?

Do you want me to decide between my future children too? :eek: Haha, just kidding! Probably Tonga Toast. But that’s a tough call…

Your favourite character?

Belle from “Beauty and the Beast.” I’ve wanted to be just like her ever since I was a little girl. :lovestruc

Your favourite Disney movie?

Animated: “Beauty and the Beast.” It was the first movie I ever saw in a theater, and I still remember everything about that day. It is literally a movie that has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember, and at this point, it’s become a part of me. (Fun fact: I chose my screen name “Enchanted” because of the enchanted rose in the film.)

Live action: “Pirates of the Caribbean: Curse of the Black Pearl.” I still remember seeing this one in the theater and how much fun I had watching it! I felt like I was right there in the cave with all the pirates arguing over the treasure! Plus, Johnny Depp and Orlando Bloom. ‘Nuff said. :rolleyes1

Your favourite Disney memory?

I don’t really have a single “favorite” memory so I’ll just give you one of many favorites. :laughing: Mom, AuntC, DBro, and I spent spring break 2007 at CBR. We liked to get off the bus at Old Port Royale, grab something to eat, and then walk back to our room in Aruba. Well, during the trip, we had seen these ducks all over the resort, and we had noticed people feeding them stuff. I had rolled my eyes because the last thing a duck really needs is a greasy French fry and because these people were training the ducks to think that people would always give them food. I mean, have people learned NOTHING from the dive-bombing birds around the McDonalds fry cart in Frontierland???

So anyway, we were walking back to the room with our late night dinner, and we stopped because we heard Illuminations going off. We were trying to see if we could see it from anywhere on the beach outside our room, but these trees were blocking our view. Well, as we’re looking up at the sky, we don’t notice that an entire ARMY of ducks, at least fifteen of them, have gathered around us, drawn to the smell of our hamburgers, chicken fingers, and fries. When we finally look down, they start quacking impatiently, wanting us to feed them and crowding closer and closer to us. It was an ambush!!! We had to take off running to our rooms before any of them could start nipping at our ankles! Scarily enough, they followed after us in hot pursuit! Needless to say, we were laughing so hard when we got inside our room that we could barely breathe. :lmao: We still mention the “killer ducks” at CBR.

What are you looking forward to on this trip that you haven't done before?
Eating at Cali Grill and watching Wishes, seeing the American Idol Experience, making my own t-shirt at DTD, and taking my picture with a princess. Oh! And trying the strawberry shortcake at Sunshine Seasons thanks to somebody’s AMAZING suggestion…. ;)

Where do you hope to be 10 years from now? Your hopes/dreams for the future?

Let’s see, 10 years from now… I hope that I will have found my Prince Charming and married him, and that we have had at least one child together. I hope to have published my first novel and that it was at least moderately successful so that my writing career could help support my family. I hope that I will have finally made it to Europe and Hawaii. I hope that I’m still close with my parents and brothers and that I’m generally just happy and have no regrets. And, of course, I hope to have been on many, many wonderful and unforgettable Disney trips!!! :goodvibes

Do you like where you live?

Yes and no. We live in the ‘burbs of Southern Ohio. I enjoy it because it has that small town vibe with all the conveniences of shopping malls and such nearby. I grew up working on a farm, and so I have great memories of Ohio farmland and how pretty our state can be. My only complaint is the weather. We have a saying here in the Midwest: “If you don’t like the weather, wait five minutes.” Because in five minutes it WILL change. I enjoy the changing of the seasons…it’s just that I wish that winter would only last through New Years….. Is that so wrong?

Where would you live if you could live anywhere?

Someplace tropical like Hawaii. I want palm trees!!! :cool2:

What is your favourite book?

Ooh, this is a hard one because I’ve read a LOT of books in my lifetime! I think, ultimately, it’s a toss-up between either “To Kill a Mockingbird” by Harper Lee or “The Secret Garden” by Frances Hodgsen Burnett. I read “The Secret Garden” constantly as a kid, even though I didn’t understand a whole lot of it at the time. Now that I know the history behind it, it’s one of my favorites.

I also enjoy anything by Sarah Dessen, who writes great modern-day books about strong female characters. She has a knack for creating really great quirky characters, and I just adore her style. I highly recommend all of her work, but most especially her books “This Lullaby,” “The Truth About Forever,” “Just Listen,” and “Keeping the Moon.”

The Poly because it’s just A-MA-ZING :love: and tropical and I always feel so relaxed when I’m there. Plus TONGA TOAST. I mean, that’s reason enough right there. And ASMu because it was the first Disney resort we ever stayed at and where we spent our family trips for something like five years. I just have amazing memories from there that will never be duplicated by the other resorts. Honorable mentions go to AKL and CBR. I love so many of the others too! I don’t think we’ve ever stayed at one that I would label a “bad” resort.

Y’know, I think the most recent movie I’ve seen is “Eagle Eye” as well! You’re right it WAS good! I must admit though that I have a small crush on Shia Labeouf so maybe I’m just biased. Haha! But seriously, it had everything I love in an action movie: car chases, explosions, intrigue, humor, a killer soundtrack, etc. I was surprised that it was so good because I don’t remember hearing a whole lot about it when it came out in theaters.

The last movie I saw in a theater was “Mamma Mia” last summer (Yeah, I don’t get out much….:lmao: ) when my friend and I went to see it by ourselves. We were the youngest ones in the theater, but we loved every minute of it and both decided that we want to vacation in Greece someday.

Any of the Pirates movies! I’d love to get to see the Caribbean for myself, and I’d have a chance to swordfight, which is something I’ve always wanted to do for some reason. Haha! Playing a female pirate would just be a blast, I think. Plus, I’d get a chance to be around Johnny Depp and Orlando Bloom, and how cool would THAT be?

Oh, wow! This one is HARD. I had all kinds of Disney tapes as a kid, and so I have a lot of different memories. Let’s see...I guess my favorite Disney song is “A Whole New World” from Aladdin, which is my second favorite Disney movie behind “Beauty and the Beast.” I watched that movie a LOT, and I was totally in love with Aladdin. I wanted to marry him when I grew up. Hahaha! I remember listening to “A Whole New World” over and over and over again. The magical carpet ride was my favorite part of the movie, it was so beautiful. To me, it’s still the most romantic Disney song of them all, and I still get goose bumps when I hear it. :lovestruc

Honorable mentions go to “A Dream is a Wish Your Heart Makes” and “When You Wish Upon a Star,” both of which are old-school Disney that remind me of Walt, can still make me teary-eyed, and sum up my attitude towards life…never stop dreaming!

3) If you could take a year off from work/school/pretty much all responsibility, what would you spend it doing?

Oooh, another good question! I would definitely travel, even if it meant just driving cross-country and sleeping in my car or something. I’m dying to photograph the small towns of America as well as the mountains and deserts out west, so I think I would set out doing that and bring whoever else who wanted to go along with me. If I had a lot of money, I’d go see Hawaii and Europe as well.

I would also spend a lot of time writing, hopefully finishing my novel. I never seem to have time to work on it because of school and work so I would buckle down and work on finishing it so that I could try to get it published.

I’d also spend more time outside. I tend to be a couch potato, but if I had no responsibilities I’d spend more of my time outside, probably gardening. I spent every summer of my teenage years working at a flower market, and I miss playing in the dirt and looking at all the beautiful flowers.

Which Disney Prince is your favorite/the cutest/etc??

Of the actual princes, Prince Phillip is my favorite. He is totally adorable, and the sweetest of the princes, in my opinion. His dance with Aurora in the forest is so romantic! I love him! :love:

And he’s not really a prince until the end of the movie, but I also loved Aladdin. He was so darned cute!

Okay, so my camera’s dead right now (I know, SO annoying), but I wanted to get this update up and running so there’s no new hair pic yet. I’m charging my battery, and I’ll post the pic later along with some pics of new clothes! Yay for shopping!!! :woohoo: But basically, my hair is a long cut that hits around my chest. It's layered, with the shorter layers really choppy and the longer layers more one even length. I also have some bangs now (which I meant to tell her NOT to do, but it's okay), and my color is brown with some natural-looking blond streaks so that I appear sunkissed even though it's been waaaaaaaaaaaaay too cold to sunbathe. :rotfl2: I promise to get a pic up soon so that you can see it for yourself! :thumbsup2

Until a couple trips ago, I lived out of my suitcase, but these days I like to unpack and put my stuff in the drawers or in the closet. I think it helps me feel like the resort is “home” for the week. Plus, my stuff isn’t nearly as wrinkled that way.

Favorite Disney memory?

Here’s another randomly chosen favorite Disney memory: On our very first trip, our first very first ride was “Pirates of the Caribbean.” My youngest brother was only seven at the time, and he was very nervous about riding anything with drops. Aunt C, who was the only one who had been to WDW before, reassures DBro that there’s no drops in Pirates, that he’ll be fine….

Um, yeah…I’m guessing you guys know where this is going…. We start heading towards the drop, and Aunt C (who was sitting with my other brother and I in the row in front of my mom, dad, and the scared DBro) looks at me and goes, “Uh-oh.” I’m like, “Whoa, what does that mean?” And she just tells my Mom to hold onto my brother. Next thing ya know, we’re at the bottom of the drop, and my poor baby brother is FR-EAKING out behind us. He tearfully asked if there were any more drops for the rest of the ride. The entire rest of the trip, he would look at Aunt C before we got on a ride and go, “Are there any drops on this?” and she would answer, “No, there’s no drops on this one.” DBro would narrow his eyes and say, “Are you SURE there aren’t any drops?” :mad: It was so cute! The poor thing was so freaked out the entire trip! He’ll be sixteen in a couple weeks, and now we all just look back and laugh. :rotfl:

What is one thing you HAVE to do at WDW before you leave?

Ride “Pirates.” Since it was our first ride ever in WDW (see above), it just holds a special place in my heart. Humming the film soundtrack as we walk in to the ride just screams “I’M IN DISNEYWORLD!!!” to me.

And as a mini-trip update, I talked with Aunt C a bit yesterday while she was on her lunch break, and we discussed all things Disney! We decided that we'll just take her SUV instead of renting a van to cut costs. She was all concerned about me having enough leg room in the back, and I was like, "Dude, I'm used to traveling with two brothers. The whole back seat to myself will be FINE." :banana: We also decided that we would wait to see what happens on travel day, but we think we'll make it to Orlando without having to stop since Mom and I will be driving to TN the night before and breaking the trip up a bit. Aunt C figures that if we make it in time, we'll just call Disney and have them book us for another night in either the Top-Secret resort or anyplace else they might have open. It'll be just for one night, so we're up for anything!

It was funny, both of us just kept saying, "I can't wait! I can't wait!" We are all sooooooo ready for this trip! :yay: I'm so glad that I decided to do a PTR because it has really amped up the excitement factor even more for me. It's so much fun to share the magic of it all with you guys! So thanks for hanging around! :grouphug:

I used to live in Ohio and Pennsylvania and I loved the changing seasons up there! I am def not a snow person though... great to visit, not to live.

If you could only eat at one restaurant at WDW for the rest of your trips, which one would it be and why?

Have you made any concrete plans about taking the “little guy” to Disney next year?

1)If I could only eat at one restaurant for the rest of my trips...I know I'm a minority, but it'd have to be Tony's! I love everything about the place. And we always end our trips there so it holds a special place in our hearts. Plus---it's at my favorite park!

2)We are still talking about taking the little guy! Sis wants to stay at the Contemporary villas when they are done, so hopefully those will be done by the time we go next year! If we go, it'll be: mom, dad, sis, me, B/F, grandma, grandpa, uncle, little guy, and little guy's stepbrother! Crazy! So..we were thinking a villa would be the best way to go. We want the little guy to have room to run around..Plus we love eating breakfast in the room before we leave..Mom always makes the best stuff! We're already talking about all the fun things he'll love like Playhouse Disney, meeting Lighting McQueen and Mator, both the Nemo ride and show, maybe the H&V breakfast with LIttle Einsteins, Pooh Bear...Oh I'm so excited to take him! We're just hoping he likes the characters! :laughing: Don't want him to get scared!

3)I'll be graduating with my Bachelor's in December! :woohoo: So I don't know what the plans will be for that exactly. I'm hoping I get something huge for my present! :laughing: Then, it'll be on to my Master's because I know if I took a break, it'd be so hard for me to go back and get in the swing of things.

Your favourite Disney movie?

Animated: “Beauty and the Beast.” It was the first movie I ever saw in a theater, and I still remember everything about that day. It is literally a movie that has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember, and at this point, it’s become a part of me. (Fun fact: I chose my screen name “Enchanted” because of the enchanted rose in the film.)

Live action: “Pirates of the Caribbean: Curse of the Black Pearl.” I still remember seeing this one in the theater and how much fun I had watching it! I felt like I was right there in the cave with all the pirates arguing over the treasure! Plus, Johnny Depp and Orlando Bloom. ‘Nuff said. :rolleyes1

Your favourite Disney memory?

I don’t really have a single “favorite” memory so I’ll just give you one of many favorites. :laughing: Mom, AuntC, DBro, and I spent spring break 2007 at CBR. We liked to get off the bus at Old Port Royale, grab something to eat, and then walk back to our room in Aruba. Well, during the trip, we had seen these ducks all over the resort, and we had noticed people feeding them stuff. I had rolled my eyes because the last thing a duck really needs is a greasy French fry and because these people were training the ducks to think that people would always give them food. I mean, have people learned NOTHING from the dive-bombing birds around the McDonalds fry cart in Frontierland???

So anyway, we were walking back to the room with our late night dinner, and we stopped because we heard Illuminations going off. We were trying to see if we could see it from anywhere on the beach outside our room, but these trees were blocking our view. Well, as we’re looking up at the sky, we don’t notice that an entire ARMY of ducks, at least fifteen of them, have gathered around us, drawn to the smell of our hamburgers, chicken fingers, and fries. When we finally look down, they start quacking impatiently, wanting us to feed them and crowding closer and closer to us. It was an ambush!!! We had to take off running to our rooms before any of them could start nipping at our ankles! Scarily enough, they followed after us in hot pursuit! Needless to say, we were laughing so hard when we got inside our room that we could barely breathe. :lmao: We still mention the “killer ducks” at CBR.

What are you looking forward to on this trip that you haven't done before?
Eating at Cali Grill and watching Wishes, seeing the American Idol Experience, making my own t-shirt at DTD, and taking my picture with a princess. Oh! And trying the strawberry shortcake at Sunshine Seasons thanks to somebody’s AMAZING suggestion…. ;)

Where do you hope to be 10 years from now? Your hopes/dreams for the future?

Let’s see, 10 years from now… I hope that I will have found my Prince Charming and married him, and that we have had at least one child together. I hope to have published my first novel and that it was at least moderately successful so that my writing career could help support my family. I hope that I will have finally made it to Europe and Hawaii. I hope that I’m still close with my parents and brothers and that I’m generally just happy and have no regrets. And, of course, I hope to have been on many, many wonderful and unforgettable Disney trips!!! :goodvibes

Do you like where you live?

Yes and no. We live in the ‘burbs of Southern Ohio. I enjoy it because it has that small town vibe with all the conveniences of shopping malls and such nearby. I grew up working on a farm, and so I have great memories of Ohio farmland and how pretty our state can be. My only complaint is the weather. We have a saying here in the Midwest: “If you don’t like the weather, wait five minutes.” Because in five minutes it WILL change. I enjoy the changing of the seasons…it’s just that I wish that winter would only last through New Years….. Is that so wrong?

Where would you live if you could live anywhere?

Someplace tropical like Hawaii. I want palm trees!!! :cool2:

What is your favourite book?

Ooh, this is a hard one because I’ve read a LOT of books in my lifetime! I think, ultimately, it’s a toss-up between either “To Kill a Mockingbird” by Harper Lee or “The Secret Garden” by Frances Hodgsen Burnett. I read “The Secret Garden” constantly as a kid, even though I didn’t understand a whole lot of it at the time. Now that I know the history behind it, it’s one of my favorites.

I also enjoy anything by Sarah Dessen, who writes great modern-day books about strong female characters. She has a knack for creating really great quirky characters, and I just adore her style. I highly recommend all of her work, but most especially her books “This Lullaby,” “The Truth About Forever,” “Just Listen,” and “Keeping the Moon.”

My questions for Autumnpalm (Meg):

What’s your favorite dance routine/performance from your dancing days?

I love the Bible verse in your signature. Does it have any special significance?

LOL I love the duck story... and I also love Sarah Dessen! The first book I read by her was Someone Like You so it is still my favourite. Ugh I did NOT like the movie though! :scared: I've read all her books!:lovestruc

Okay, now to answer your questions:

1. Oh my goodness, so many! Well I think I would have to say dancing in the Nutcracker. My ballet school put it on every year and we performed it for the local schools as well as public performances. It was just so much fun and it always got me into the Christmas spirit. I have so many fun memories of it. Over the years I danced a whole bunch of roles so I don't know if I could pick a favourite... I still have the DVDs from most of the performances and I love watching them. I miss it so much, it's crazy.

2. Thanks!:goodvibes I had a really difficult year last year and a lot of it left me questioning my faith. I spent a lot of timing thinking about faith and what it was and what it meant and why it was important. One day I came across that verse, I had written it down in a journal a few years ago but had forgotten about it. I think it is so comforting and hopeful. I think it does a beautiful job of summing up what faith is, and my faith is so important to me. The verse is as nice reminder to me that even when things are tough and it is so hard to believe, especially something that I can't see and sometimes don't understand, faith can still be there. I don't know, I don't feel like I'm doing a good job of explaining it, but I just really love it.:goodvibes

3. Oh boy, this is a tough one! Let's see. I think it might be Splash Mountain. My mom and I both love that ride and I have the soundtrack to it on my iPod. I love how long the ride is and I think it is such a creative idea. I always have a smile on my face when I'm getting off, no matter how wet I am.:laughing: I have to give honorable mentions to Soarin, the TTA, Kilimanjaro Safaris and Space Mountain though!! Oh, and the Carousel of Progress!

I LOVE that poem by Emily Dickinson!! Those lines are so beautiful.

The think I like about the verse from Hebrews is that it is so universal. Even though I'm a Christian, I think it makes sense for anything a person might have faith in. I like that about it. I was hesitant to put it in my sig since I didn't know if a Bible verse would be considered offensive to anyone, but I thought it would be okay because it is really is open to interpretation and any sort of belief system. 1) Well, I have a lot of favorite characters! My favorite Princess is Ariel. I always wanted to be her. Secretly, I still do. :rotfl: I love Aladdin. Like, school-girl crush, love him. I still seek him out while at WDW to have my pic made with him! :) But of the fab five, Minnie is my girl! I even dressed up as Minnie for Halloween two years ago (I think I also possibly dressed up as her when I was like, 5 or 6 too.). At the office. Yeah, I am that quirky "online" girl at my office who gets away with stuff like that, because I am apparently expected to be quirky. I dressed up like a pirate this year! :) I think I have photos somewhere of my Minnie-ness. Perhaps once I move home I can find the one of me when I was a kid, and the one of me from two years ago and post them on my ptr. :laughing:

2) My favorite Disney song....you'll laugh at this one. I love the song "Be Prepared" from The Lion King! I like singing it, because Scar has this snooty voice thing going on, and it is so fun to try and replicate it, and try and be all mean. It's true. :snooty: I also love "Ever, Ever After" (Enchanted), "Part of Your World" (The Little Mermaid) and "Son of Man" (Tarzan). I don't have any music from WDW, but I am going to have to look into it!

3) A place I've never been but would like to see.....Australia. First thing that comes to mind. I've been talking about going to Australia since I was in middle school, when I was invited to go as a part of a Junior Ambassadors program. I couldn't afford it then, but some day, some how, I will go! My Grandma (crazy old lady that acts like she is 25 instead of 70, love that woman!) wants to go too, infact, she called me a few weeks ago and told me to start planning it. I said I would look into it, but wasn't sure when exactly it fit into the calendar!

Hey, Tarah! I agree, the changing seasons are so pretty, but the snow is just awful. It's sad because I used to LOVE snow, but that was before I was of driving age. Digging out your car in the freezing cold? Not so much fun. Thus, why I yearn for spring and tropical temps. :cool2:

I've had a crush on Shia since his "Even Stevens" days and thought he was just adorable, but yeah, when Transformers came out, it was like, "WHOA! Shia got HOT!" Hahaha!

1) We still haven't been to Tony’s, but Mom is dying to go because "Lady and the Tramp" is one of her favorites. We thought about it for this trip, but it didn't work out with our plans. Maybe next trip, though! That's so cool that you always end your trips there. I took a year and a half off after high school to “find myself,” (Haha, I’m such a wannabe bohemian artist! :hippie:) and I take the minimum amount of credit hours each quarter to be considered full time, so I’m still a loooooong ways off from getting my Bachelor’s. Go you for being so close! I hope you get an awesome present for all of your hard work! You’re majoring in Sociology, right? I think that’s such an interesting field. It’s one of the few majors that has tempted me to switch my focus away from Lit/English. Good luck in pursuing your Masters! Now THAT'S dedication! :thumbsup2

Hey, Meg! I totally forgot about "Someone Like You"! You're right, that's a great book too. I love how the guy in that one uses the Jedi Mind Trick on everyone. :darth: Hahaha! The movie was terrible though, and I'm a huge Mandy Moore fan so that's saying something...

1. Ooooh, I loved “The Nutcracker” when I was growing up!!! My mom and I went to see it put on by the Cincinnati Ballet several times when I was in grade school, and I loved it! My school never did it, but the teachers always announced when other local productions were casting so that kids could try out if they were interested. Unfortunately, I never had a chance to try out. I bet you had a blast though! What parts did you get to play?

2. Thanks so much for sharing, Meg! I’d never heard this verse until I saw it in your signature, and it has become one of my favorites ever since. I’m a Christian as well, and I can understand where you’re coming from about the “questioning” of your faith. For me, it was less about questioning God and more about questioning the church and some of the “rules” of religion. I think that it’s only natural though, especially at our age. For me, it just makes your renewed faith even more meaningful because you’re choosing to believe in something that caused you doubt rather than something that you’ve never thought to question. It's like you're taking a larger leap of faith, you know what I mean?

3. I know, it’s so hard to pick a favorite! Splash Mountain is definitely one of my favs. Like you, I love the soundtrack and the ride itself always puts a smile on my face. Plus, I just love the amazing detail inside the mountain. I’m also sentimentally attached to it because my grandmother (Maw Maw) died when I was nine before anyone from my family got to go to WDW with her. Maw Maw, however, went with Aunt C a couple of times before she died, and she said that Splash was her favorite ride. There’s a part where you’re really high up and you curve around the front of the mountain and overlook the MK, and “Laughing Place” is playing. That part, to me, really captures Maw Maw’s spirit, and there’s just something about it that makes me feel like she’s right there with me, laughing and smiling and singing along. I like to think that when I see Maw Maw in heaven, we’ll get our chance to ride Splash together over and over and over again. :cloud9:

I agree that the Hebrews verse is very universal even outside of religion. What really caught my eye about it at first is that it goes with the theme of the novel I’m writing, having faith in the invisible and believing in things you can't see. 2) No laughing here, "Be Prepared" is a great song! Very dramatic and theatrical. The lyrics of that song are some of the best, in my opinion. It’s spot-on perfect for one of the best Disney villains. I love your other choices too. You MUST pick up a WDW park soundtrack when you’re there next time.

3) Oooh, Australia, good pick! That would be so much fun! I’ve always wanted to go there as well. I remember when they had the summer Olympics in Sydney back in 2000, and they showed some of the sights, and I was totally captivated. It’s such a cool place! I love that your grandma is ready and willing to go with you. Hopefully you can find time to go together because that would be a trip of a lifetime! :woohoo:
