Enabling: Gypsy Rebates

I have one on pre-order from the LSS in Grafton. No idea of when it will be coming in though and I don't think I can cancel it :(

Bummer! But you will still get a bunch of rewards points and they just added a bunch of items to the program. They also lowered some of the points values for items (for example shirts used to be 200 points, but now they are only 100). :thumbsup2

That's cool, I just zeroed out my points, because they finally had everything I wanted in stock at the same time!

I went over to the Cricut site to check out this deal and wanted to let you all know that if you buy in Nov you get the $100 at cricut.com but not the 2 free solutions carts. Maybe if money is tight this month you'll be able to swing it next month and still get something.

Also, the points are not "bonus" points but points you get from the carts so you should still get some of those

I am getting ready to order a couple of things. I want a shirt, but I am not sure on the sizing. I went over to the Cricut MB and they said they run really small.

I thought about getting one, but ended up with a total of 5 carts (4 solutions and Don Juan). The shipping *kills* me! $23 is a lot, but I have to remind myself that that's 5 carts...

That is steep shipping! There has been a lot of buzz about Don Juan. I had to go take a look at it and It is pretty cute. I love the stitch feature.

I just keep reminding myself that it's 5 cartridges and I'm better about it. Still $23 for "free" items makes me mental!

Okay so I have it in my hot little hands! Happiness! I had no worries about returning it as I am a Cricut and Tech geek so they go hand in hand!! I registered and have done all the rebate stuff do the points all appear after the rebate is processed? Or should some of the points show up once I register? It is a little confusing with the two different log in points! thanks for the advice!

I had no worries either. My husband is a computer engineer so I have tech support if I need it. :thumbsup2 You will get an email with a code to load your point totals. Mine came the morning after registering the G. I just entered the codes and there they were! I am anticipating the $100 credit and free carts to get here right around Christmas.

P.S. As you get to know your new toy be sure to check out the videos on the Cricut site, they really help. I also have links to videos demoing some features like shadowing. Let me know if you want them.

I got a Gypsy yesterday!!!!! I've already registered it, input my codes on Cricut Rewards, and have my solution cartridges form ready to mail today!

I'm already a bit familiar with the Gypsy since I got to play with beforehand and did a demonstration of it at Michaels. But, I would love the link to the video on shadowing. I haven't tried that yet.

I looked everywhere for how to do it and I even asked someone at M's who was doing a G demo. Finally I ventured over to "Drama Land" aka the Gypsy Forum on the Cricut MB and asked there. I will dig it up and post here.

Edit: Here are the links I was given on The Cricut MB. I have not looked at them yet, so I am not sure how good/accurate they are.

Jacksmomma, thanks for the links. I'll look through them in a little while.

I actually laughed when you said you asked the person at Michaels doing the G demo. I was the one doing the demo at our Michaels and I hadn't touched a Gypsy until 2 days beforehand and was given no instruction as to what I was supposed to do. I did lots of research on the Cricut board for those 2 days so that I could at least show the basic things. I was doing a Cricut demo at the same time and more people were interested in that than the Gypsy. I only showed the Gypsy to 2 people and they didn't know anything about it beforehand so I knew enough to show them.

Edited to add: I just glanced at the links you posted and those are the ones I used to learn how to do things on the Gypsy for my demo!!!:rotfl: I don't remember anything about shadowing in there though. I'll have to watch them again. Thanks for the links!

That is funny! I have not looked at those links yet, I just have not had time. I hope to get to them after Halloween. (I do gourmet cakes as a side business and I have 4 orders for this weekend! :scared1:)

I know the woman who did our demo. She had a little bit of experience, but not much. I figure it will be a lot of trial and error. :goodvibes

Dh bought me one too:goodvibes

I have to say that I was able to figure alot of it on my own without watching any tutorials yet. I  it.

Yay Tinkerbean!!!!!!! It is a lot easier to use than I expected it to be. I don't know if I would have figured much out on my own or not since when I was reading and watching videos about it I didn't have one. I was just preparing for demonstrating it at Michaels and didn't get to play with it until I was back at the store. I'm so glad to have my own now and do whatever I want!!!! The bad thing is that all the cute things I did design with it are stored on the Michael's one and not on mine. I'm going to have to recreate them!

OMG!!! I just welded together some words from the Mickey Font along with some images and I am in love!! Even my husband looked at it and said this thing is pretty Bad A**!!! High priase from a non scrapbooking man!! still have not received my points certifcates emails form Cricut!! Getting antsy!!

You might want to check on your point certificates. I registered my Gypsy yesterday morning and my e-mail with the point certificate numbers came almost immediately after.

Ditto Shannon...I would give them a call. :thumbsup2

I have already done several LOs with the G and welded lots of images. (I did not buy the design studio so I have never welded before and I think I am weld happy!) DH said, that thing is awesome! :goodvibes
