My husband is a new Disney cast member and we just received his guest passes and one main entrance pass in the mail. I was reading that as his spouse, I would get a pass as well so that I could also get guests in without my husband being present. Do I use the main entrance pass that they sent us or is there a separate spouse main entrance pass that I need to request?? TIA for any assistance!!

Does it specifically say it is a spouse main entrance pass? Does it have your name on the back of the pass or your spouses? The main entrance pass we just received has my husbands name on the back of it but then the letter that came with it says - “You (or your spouse/domestic partner, if applicable) must bring your new Main Entrance Pass.....” But it doesn’t specifically say that we each have our own individual main entrance passes. So I’m totally confused. And if I need my own, why wouldn’t they send it with the rest of the passes??

They don’t automatically issue a Spouse Pass to every CM. Only 1 Main Entrance + 3 Guest Passes are sent out.

He has to request a MainGate Pass for you. His is linked to his fingerprints on file with Disney - if you try to use it, it may be confiscated.

My pass has the gold banner on the front that says “Main Entrance Pass”.

On the back it has my name (not my spouse’s name). And, under my name it reads “Silver Spouse Pass”.

We got both main entrance passes and the 3 guest passes in the mail automatically in 2013 or 2014 when they switched over to the new system of doing things.

Did you receive a new set within the last month? All CMs received new MainGates and Guest Passes because the data had been compromised. Perhaps it didn’t affect Silver Passes but some retirees received the new set.

Interesting...no we have not heard anything about a data compromise or receiving new passes. My spouse is a non-Florida CM...not sure if that’s why.
