Emmy's.....

Yep, I'm watching too. I thought the song was cute but I really liked the opening scenes from various shows. Can I just ask when he was the cartoon and hid in the closet, who was meant by "Bruce, come out of the closet"?

I thought he said *Cruise* come out of the closet.

We were flipping back and forth between the Emmys and the Cubs game. I loved the banter with Stephen Colbert and Jon Stewart. :)

And I think I screeched loud enough for the entire neighborhood to hear when Andre Braugher won his Emmy. Gosh, I just LOVE Andre Braugher!!

I was flipping around during the last hour but managed to catch Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert (Yay Amazing Race!) and I also saw Keifer win his much deserved Emmy. I'm so glad that 24 is finally being recognized for the brilliant show that it is.

I watched the whole show. I usually flip around and catch bits and pieces of the Emmys but this was so funny I watched the entire show! :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

?'s about when they do the memorial...

Why wasn't Aaron Spelling put up there?

Also, I always feel bad for the families when their person doesn't get much (or any) applause...it feels like a posthumus (sp?) popularity contest. They should all just hold thier applause until the end.

I assume it was because he had his own separate tribute.

I was so happy Mariska won- tough competition in that category this year. I love Conan, he's too funny.

Typically when a special tribute is done for an actor/actress (or whoever), they are not included in the "In Memoriam."

Oh - he most definitely said "Cruise" because my husband couldn't hear it and went back and replayed it. I nearly died!

I also liked the Dick Clark bit - how nice to pay tribute and say thank you to someone before they die!

But I also see how some could think that is morbid.

I am at the part where they just had the tribute to Dick Clark & Barry Manilow played. I just took it as one of those "Lifetime Achievement" awards - they've done those to several living persons.

Oh I must have missed it. I only saw the second hour.
It was a pretty good tribute. It started out with some Dynasty stars (I LOVED Dynasty! :goodvibes ) and then they showed the different TV shows he made. Then the original stars of Charlie's Angels were standing there and they each made their own comments.

Opening sequence with Conan was great! So happy The Office won best comedy!
