A week or so ago I posted several Emmy polls. I just took a look and we got

*Drum Roll Please*

ONE right out of eight! :confused3 :rotfl:

Here are the results.

The DIS Chose: Best Drama – Lost
The Winner Was: Lost

The DIS Chose: Comedy - Desperate Housewives
The Winner Was - Everybody Loves Raymond

The DIS Chose: Mini Series - The 4400
The Winner Was: The Lost Prince.

The DIS Chose: Reality Show - American Idol
The Winner Was: The Amazing Race

The DIS Chose: Best Actress, Comedy - Teri Hatcher - Desperate Housewives
The Winner Was: Felicity Huffman - - Desperate Housewives

The DIS Chose: Best Actor, Comedy - Zach Braff – Scrubs
The Winner Was: Tony Shalhoub - Monk

The DIS Chose: Best Actress, Drama - Jennifer Garner – Alias
The Winner Was: Patricia Arquette – Medium

The DIS Chose: Best Actor, Drama - Hugh Laurie – House
The Winner Was: James Spader – Boston Legal

I was the only person who voted for The Lost Prince on the Mini series poll and that was more wishful thinking than anything else. I can't remember the last time the Emmy's honored anything on PBS other than Sesame Street. ;)

And it was the same ole, same ole for most of the other catagories. Hugh Laurie SHOULD have won. His portrayal of Dr. House is the most refreshing thing to hit TV in years. But as I said, Same ole, same ole.

Guess I'll wait for the People's Choice Awards to get some satisfaction.

BTW, the polls are here for anyone who wants to see the voting.

Best Drama and Comedy Series.

Best Actress - Actor in a Drama Series.

Best Actress - Actor in a Comedy Series.

Best Miniseries - Reality/Competition Program

The best way to predict the Emmys is to just write down everyone who won LAST year.

Or see what long running shows are ending :)

We should have known "Everybody Loves Raymond" would win, the series just ended.

While I couldn't believe that Patricia Arquette won (who saw that coming?), I was pretty happy with all the other stuff that won.

Lost is great. Raymond really was one of the best comedies on tv ever (the Housewives have many more opportunities to win).

However, the best win of the night was for Felicity Huffman for DH. Ever since Sports Night, she's been one of my favorite actresses. The fact that the win was a complete surprise (I'd have picked any of the other nominees to win) made it even better.

Other than that, I thought the show was the pits. Ellen was poor, I thought, and I usually like her (although the bit with Eva Longoria up in the balcony was pretty funny). Plus, I hated that they didn't show clips of the nominees and the clips that they showed were literally 5 seconds long. Oh, well...
