Hello! We'll be attending EMM on Feb 27th. Since it's an early start, I'd like to build in a break mid day to go back to the hotel and swim/relax. I'd appreciate your thoughts on this plan. Family is my, my husband and 3 boys (9,7 and 4).

7:45am - 8:55am 7DMT, Pooh and PP over and over
9am - 9:05am Walk to BTMRR
9:05am – 9:15am Big Thunder Mountain Railroad
9:18am – 9:45am Splash Mountain
9:45am - 10:20am Breakfast
10:25am – 10:40am Barnstormer:
10:42am – 11:05am Dumbo:
11:10am – 11:30am Journey of the Little Mermaid:
11:40am - 12:05pm It's a Small World (if line isn't too long)
Back to hotel
5:15pm Arrive back at MK
5:25 - 5:45pm Jungle Cruise with FP (4:35pm - 5:35pm)
Get Snacks
6:20pm - 6:40pm Splash with FP (5:35pm - 6:35pm)
6:40pm - 7:15pm BTMRR with FP (6:45pm - 7:45pm)
7:25pm Grab a spot for HEA

It looks pretty good.

A word of caution would be that putting together a plan that features times like 9:18 and 10:42 may be JUST a bit "too detailed" to actually follow for an extended period.

;)

But, if you know that following a "rough approximation" of the layout
should be fine, you should be, well, fine.

Keep loose and flexible... if anything should go awry with the actual timing of your day.

Seems ok to me.

Having done EMM / stayed around Fantasyland after breakfast a few times, I think your Barnstormer/Dumbo/Little Mermaid/IASW stint ‘may’ take longer than you have planned. Will really depend on how crowded it is and how quickly those rides fill in.

But all in all, we’ve done something similar and been back at the room 1ish for naps and it’s worked well.

Have fun. :-)

Thinking those times after breakfast are way too tight. IASW is going to be nigh impossible to do without a FP in 25 minutes at that time.

Where's dinner?

I think it's way overplaned. Use it as a guide. We ate earlier than we expected and it worked out better for us. We were able to get out of Fantasyland as the crowds arrived.

We are doing EMM on Sunday, 3/18. Here's our plan from Touring Plans. Our day should be a much higher crowd level than yours. Touring Plans doesn't always handle EMM well. Touring Plans also tends to overestimate the wait time for rides right at park opening. When we did it during the summer, I rode 7DMT 11 times in a row and had to stop due to feeling dizzy and ill. DH and DS rode it another 2 or 3 times. Pooh was down. We only did PP once. They won't let you go beyond PP before the park opens, and they even gave us dirty looks for standing by it waiting to head to Haunted Mansion. I know that they still had food last time definitely until 10am, but I don't know if they started removing it right then or not. They have togo cups for coffee and tea too. This will be our departure day and our 2nd day at MK, so we won't be doing some things that we have done before. I may still rejigger this some. The walk to JC could be a a bit far.

  1. Seven Dwarfs Mine Train 7:54am
  2. The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh 8:10am
  3. Peter Pan's Flight 8:23am
  4. Jungle Cruise 8:43am
  5. Pinocchio Village Haus 9:22am
  6. The Haunted Mansion 9:56am
  7. Mad Tea Party 10:24am
  8. Space Mountain 10:36am
    Uses FastPass+ for 10:00am‑11:00am
  9. Walt Disney's Carousel of Progress 10:57am
  10. Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover 11:24am
  11. Splash Mountain 11:45am
    Uses FastPass+ for 11:10am‑12:10pm
  12. Big Thunder Mountain Railroad 12:20pm
    Uses FastPass+ for 12:20pm‑1:20pm
  13. Walt Disney's Enchanted Tiki Room 12:41pm

The JC time is completely inaccurate- gonna throw everything else off. Not only is it not going to be open until 9ish, they also wait to fill up the first boat, so you could be waiting a few extra minutes if you're one of the first groups.

I know. That's why I said that TP doesn't always work well with EMM and the first ride at park opening. I don't put too much stock in the exact times, but I have used Touring Plans for 6 years now very successfully and know what to expect. Plus, the time listed is the arrival time, which I know you can't arrive at JC much if any before 9am park opening. A few extra minutes here and there is really in the wash. I would go insane if I tried to follow the times exactly:crazy: Overall though, I have found that we usually finish our plans before Touring Plans estimates, even the week between xmas and NYE.

Thanks for the suggestions! I used the time's from Josh's cheat sheets and just copied them exactly... Thus the precise timing ;) Do you think BTMRR and Splash is too much before breakfast?
