EMH's?

Hello Everyone,

Could someone please help me with a small query? I am a little confused about the opening hours given on this site. When staying offsite I understand that you do not qualify for the EMH's, but when I look at the times do I need to deduct the hour in the morning when it says the park opens at 8 meaning we can be there from 9? Or does the park open at 7am for the EMH? Likewise with the evening, when the park closes ay 12am is it really 9pm for those staying offsite? I can't imagine the park stays open beyond that time so this seems like a silly question! Does that mean that sometimes we will be able to stay until 12am on nights when there are not EMH's? Also what happens to offsiters, presumably they are able to stay within the park but not able to ride? Thanks in advance for sharing your expertise.

Debbie :confused3

Evening EMH have been known to go into the wee hours of the morning (2 AM!) so the times on the schedule are most likely the regular park hours.

Magic Kingdom is open later into the night during the summer and busy holiday seasons, so a regular closing time at midnight seems about right if you were looking at the July/August hours.

There has been at least one post on this board about Guests without EMH wristbands being gently ushered/herded out of the parks during EMH. I doubt they'd come and drag anyone out, though!

Yes the parks do open at 7 am for morning EMH and close at midnight for day guests on EMH nights. ( sometimes durng busy periods ususally summertime and holidays)

Sorry, I'm still not clear on this. The dates I am looking at are over the easter period, and the earliest the calender says is 8am, so I gather the park will be open at 7am for EMH? However the park seems to close at 12am most nights and if they do open at 7am in the mornings I assume they will be staying open until 3am for EMH's! Could this be the case? Otherwise I am wondering if they close at 9pm for people offsite and go on until 12am for EMHS, in which case I should think the am EMH would be 8am-9am. Which do you think is correct?

Thanks again.

BTW, this is not "what I THINK", these are the current facts of EMH.
The official Disney calendar (and many others) do NOT give the times including EMH times.

The EMH times are always ADDED to the official open times.

Yes, if the hours are listed as 8am to 12 midnight, a morning EMH would start at 7am and an evening EMH would run until 3am.

This is not a mistake, this is not unusual.

The hours posted are for "regular" (all) guests.
Yes, evening EMH runs AFTER the posted closing time.
Yes, the morning EMH runs PRIOR TO the posted open time.

for clearing that up for me Robo! I re-read what had previously been written and I'm sure the previous reply was saying the same as you but I didn't read it that way the first time! I was finding hard to believe that it was really open that late!

MK had EMH from 1-4 am Christmas night (actually the morning of the 26th). We were there but did not stay the full time. We talked to others at our resort who did.

I was watching a Star Trek Voyager marathon and when I saw this post "EMH" the first thing I thought was "Emergency Medical Holograph"...

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: ...ok, so maybe you had to be there to get it ;)

"Please state the nature of the medical emergency."

Yes the park will open at 7am and close at 3 am over easter on some nights.

The parks are still full of people during EMH, even at 2am, but I would guess close to half as full as regular hours. It's not like your going to feel secluded, especially during spring and summer months. Regardless it is so much nicer during the EMH's. The sun is down so its not as hot and the lines are not as long. The shops are still open also. My family and I stopped at the bakery on Main St. on the way out of the park at 2am for one last sugar fix.
