EMH wristbands - pick up at resort?

A couple of different CMs have told me that we should be able to pick up our EMH wristbands from our resort as well as the guest services booths at the park(s) affected. (Atleast for EMH pm, I didn't ask about EMH am specifically but would assume it's the same).

Has anyone done this? It seems to be something different for EMH (and not done for E-ride nights for example.)
If we don't get them prior to dinner (WCC at WL, prior to MK EMH pm), then I'm assuming we can show up at the park entrance, show our resort id and get wristbands on the spot? (Assuming availability.)
TIA

I was under the impression that you could only get them 2 hours before park closing at the designated park. They may have changed that since last year, so I dunno.

Also there are certain areas to pick up the wristbands, not at park entrance - each park has different locations.

Here are the locations (right off the Corporate Portal):

Magic Kingdom® Park:
Main Entrance
Caribbean Plaza near El Pirata Y el Perico Restaurante
Castle Rose Garden near the entrance to Tomorrowland
Across from the Liberty Square Riverboat Landing

Future World West Breezeway

When we were there the first week of June 2005, we had to get the wristbands in the parks at the specific locations. I am doubting that this has changed.

So, we'd have to get to one of those specific locations *before* the park closes? That was my original take on it, which poses difficulties for us since we've got a group of 7-9 dining at WCC at 7:20. (We wanted 6pm but can't seem to get anything earlier than 7:20).
Luckily this is part way through our trip, so I'll have to time to ask the CMs at the hotel and parks what they'd suggest.

you can still get in the EMH park after the park actually closes. Just show your resort ID and pick up a wristband.

You can go in or out of the EMH park anytime after closing, just as long as you have your resort ID, your wristband, and a valid park ticket.

There's no need to rush to get a wristband first, then go to dinner. Just go after dinner.

I hope this is the case. We have 7:30 p.m. ressies at Teppanyaki the night of MK EMH (not touring MK that day), so we probably won't even get to the gates of MK until 9:30-10:00 p.m. MK closes at 9:00 p.m. that night. So we would just show our resort IDs at the gates and then they would let us in to pick up a wristband or would we get the wristbands from them?

In the past you were able to purchase E-ride night wristbands at the resorts. That may have been what the CM was thinking of.

I don't think they are doing E-ride night anymore though. :sad1:

I loved E-ride nights.

This was the one thing I didn't really research too well because we weren't planning on doing EMH evenings, but we happened to find ourselves in the MK on EMH night and decided to stay. Well, trying to get a wristband location from CM's was a big chore. I think we had to ask four until we got a vague "Adventureland" answer. It was already dark and the last CM said "Pirates" so we troop over there and finally we realize on our own that it's the long line across the street! I guess it's my own fault for not finding out beforehand.
