EMH when staying off property

I was wondering if I am already in the Magic Kingdom before the park closes at 10:00, can we hang around the park and maybe eat somewhere once EMH begin? Are they super strict about kicking people not staying on property out? The only reason I am not staying on property is that I am there for a convention that requires me to stay at the Omni at Champions Gate.

You can't go on rides, but you can hit the shops. I think most if not all restaurants inside the theme parks will be closed by the time a 10 PM EMH begins.

you can stay in the park just not ride. It is actually really fun doing this. We did this a year ago when we stayed offsite.
