EMH wait times and when can you get first FP?

It appears the following are available during EMH:
Dumbo, Peter Pan, Tea Cups, Buzz Lightyear

The Carousel looks like it will be closed during our visit and my kids are too small for Space Mountain.

Will we need the full 2 hours to do 4 rides (on a weekday at the end of June), or could we arrive at 9am? I realize PP and Buzz can have long waits during the day, but will they be more than 20 min during EMH?
Would it be better to just do them later with FP? What time can you start getting FP? Are the FP machines open during EMH? I'm assuming return times start after 10 am?

Are any of the walk-throughs open during EMH? For example, can we go inside the castle or Alice's Labyrinth?

Normally we take advantage of EMH or rope drop and are back to the hotel by mid-afternoon, but our time zone is 5 hrs behind Paris, so I don't want to wake my kids up at 7am if I don't have to :) I'm actually debating not getting to the parks until after lunch and then staying until they close. I'm just nervous that all the FP will be gone by then.

Sorry for asking so many questions. I've tried google, but have had no luck.

Thanks again!

if you're going to do EMH at all, be there for 8am or don't bother - its the first hour that you walk on to the rides, by 9am all the open EMH rides are getting queues. None of the fastpass machines beside the rides open until 10am.

no to the Labyrinth, its closed until at least 10am, sometimes later, but yes to the castle.

I would go with what you normally do - do EMH in the main park/rope drop at the Studios (it opens just before 9.30am even though its officially 10am) and then when you get tired/run out of FPs, go back to your cabin for a rest, then come back into the park for the main parade/evening rides and Dreams.
Don't wait until after lunch to venture into the parks, end of June is when some European schools start their summer holidays and you could well find that a lot of FPs have gone by then.

Do the FP in DLP allow you to show up later than the stated time and still go in the FP line?

Curious about that one too. Trying to figure out a plan of action, especially since we won't have EMH.

DLP FPs are pretty strict on time. Not like the old WDW system (which is a shame as we loved that!)

We personally love DLRP EMH and do it whenever we can.

In March we did it each morning. Being first in the park. Met Mickey, Minnie, Goofy and Pluto and then had Main Street to ourselves for photos and then rode all the Fantasyland rides and Buzz before going back to the hotel for breakfast at about 9:30.

Wonderful start to a Disney day.

It's also the time of day where the magic really happens:

I checked the live wait time app this morning and it actually showed 8 attractions open during EMH! That would definitely make it worth our while. And Buzz and Peter Pan both had longer wait times by 8:45.

I am curious though, how long are the lines to get a FP for Ratatouille at 10am?

I hear they're pretty horrendous. Didn't attempt it ourselves as we used our hotel FPs each day to ride.

We went at a pretty quiet time and it was still long waits. So we were very glad we didn't have to battle for FPs.

Single rider queue was always very very short when we saw it though.

Good to know. So maybe it is better to just get in line at 9:30, and not worry about trying for a FP.

Today is a public holiday so the wait times are worse than at the weekend even - The whole area is rammed with cars and huge traffic jams

If you are coming in June they won't be as bad on a week day

For Ratatouille you can already see huge queues at 9.30 in front of the Studio gates - saw this on Wednesday - and as soon as they open them people run to Crush and Ratatouille - afaik you can't get a FP until 10.00 but you can queue in the lines.

FP are at that time only, I wouldn't try coming back late or early and trying your luck as they send you away and people just hang about clogging up the FP lanes for the people who are in the right timeslot.

I did not realize today was a holiday! I'm quite relieved because the wait times for the attractions have been much higher than I expected all day! It had me worried considering it's only May :)

Yep we've got 4 of them in May giving us 3 x 3 day weekends and 1 x 4 day weekend plus any holidays have to be used up before the new year comes in 1st June - Very little works gets done in May :thumbsup2

people run - and I mean sprint - from the Studio gates to either Crush or Ratatouille standby lines, the lines are huge within 10 minutes of the park being open at 9.30am. Instead, we went into the park at 9.30, my girls ran to Crush (I don't do Crush) and I walked to the FP line for Ratatouille. The FP machines switched on at 10am, and by 10.07am I had our FPs for the ride, which as I recall were for about an hour later. FP and single rider at Ratatouille are great, well worth doing.

Yikes, we won't be able to run with a 5 and 7 year old. They are faster than me, but they trip a lot. Skinned knees could ruin the whole day. I think I'll just play it by ear. If the line looks crazy then we'll just stand in line at the FP machine. Thanks again for all the feedback!
