EMH & Resort ID

I am looking for suggestions as to how people deal with needing to present their resort ID during Extra Magic Hours. Do you need to present them at every ride now since they are no longer distributing wristbands. In our family, we don't usually let everyone hold their own cards unless we are splitting up. This is especially true for my nephew (9) and my niece (7). What do people do about the kids? Seems like a pain to have to keep pulling everyones cards out and I would be afraid that one could easily get lost this way. I have heard that people use lanyards and wear them. Do you recommend the ones Disney sells? Any other suggestions? Thanks.

We were there last September, and while most CM's checking IDs were satisfied with just seeing my KTTW card and not my 5yo's, there was a CM at the MK that insisted on seeing both ID's. I had both stuck in one clear plastic sleeve attached to a lanyard. It wasn't like I had to dig hers out of my backpack or anything, but I was fumbling to pull DD's out of the plastic so this CM could see it. A little aggravating but totally within the CM's rights to ask to see both. After that, I attached two of the plastic sleeves to my lanyard so our KTTW cards could each be seen without me having to pull one from behind the other.

I purchased a 10 pack of the cheap plastic ID sleeves and a basic black cord lanyard at Walmart. I think both items cost me about $4 total.
