Thank you Thank you!!!:rotfl: :rotfl:

Just to make sure you understand, the schedule will likely NOT have an AM EMH and a PM EMH on the same DAY at the same PARK.

Hi, can anyone tell me if they are scanning your hotel keys in line now when getting your bracelet for emh? I thought I saw this at MGM but not sure ( in June)

Just Curious Thanks:coffee:

Well, not ALL parks open early and remain open late. One park will open early and one may stay open later. It's best the check the Disney web site to get the word on the scheduled EEH's during your stay.

Yes.

Nearly always.

Yup, I knew that, just couldn't remember how early or how late!! Thanks!!!

that is, hands down, the best kid picture on the boards!!! Love running into your posts. Always gives me a smile!!!;) ;)

On our last trip they scanned them maybe half the time, but when they weren't scanning, they were looking. My friend had 2 room keys (one from a previous stay) and she gave them the wrong one and they noticed. She dug out the new one and was well with the world...but I was kind of surprised that they actually looked. :)

So, good for folks who want as few people in line as possible and bad for folks who want to sneak in.

Last week they ran the hotel cards through a credit card like scanner, then sent you to the next part of the line to get the bracelet.

I was there 2 weeks ago. We did 3 evening EMH and they never ONCE scanned our cards. At the MGM EMH, they never even saw mine and I still got a wristband. :scared1:

Merging these threads together.

You should fully expect to ask to show your resort key to get a wristband. While there may have been circumstances where people were not asked, I wouldn't expect that.

I've been 3x in the last year and my room key was scanned each EMH I went to.

Going in late Sept this time so shorter park hrs and I want to take advantage of every minute!!

9/21 EMH at Epcot FW "closes" at 7pm and WS at 9pm.

EMH until midnight (I hope)?

Thanks!!!

Every night of the year (not just on EMH nights) certain FW attractions do NOT close at 7pm, but continue to allow entrance to the queues until IllumiNations begins.
These usually include Soarin', Mission: Space, Test Track, Spaceship Earth, and (sometimes) The Seas with Nemo and Friends.

Each and every attraction that is listed as being a part of Evening EMH at the Epcot theme-park at Walt Disney World, will stay open until approximately Midnight.

If, on occassion, Illuminations is scheduled for a 9:30 PM presentation and the Epcot theme-park is scheduled to close at 9:30pm, then each and every attraction that is listed as being a part of Evening EMH at the Epcot theme-park at Walt Disney World, will stay open until approximately 12:30 AM.

This includes each and every attraction in Future World that is listed as being a part of Evening EMH at Epcot.

This includes each and every attraction in World Showcase that is listed as being a part of Evening EMH at Epcot.

On various dates, there will be certain other attractions that may be open during EMH as well.

The American Adventure in World Showcase is scheduled to have only a limited number of performances when it is a part of Evening EMH at Epcot.
You need to check with the "Times Guide" handout (that is available at many locations around Epcot) to make sure that you arrive in time to see one of these shows, if you intend on viewing it during Evening EMH.

Absolutely! I'd always been asked for my room key to be scanned before. That was why it kind of shocked me that they didn't scan them this time.:confused3 I'm sure (hope) they'll get the scanners back up in no time.:thumbsup2

For the lurkers...

The scanners are not "down."

But sometimes...
at certain EMH kiosks...
at certain parks...
on certain days...
they may or may not be using the scanners.

It can come down to "the luck of the draw."

But, overall, assume that you, and every single member of your party (over the age of 2 yrs) WILL NEED a room-key,
and that the CMs will scan it.

The scanners are not "down."

Hmm...guess that was a bad choice of wording on my part. I meant to say, "I'm sure they will be using them again soon." Because they were NOT when I was there. (Maybe the luck of the draw, but everytime for a week...?)

For the record, I am pro-scanners!:thumbsup2 Less chance for 'outsiders' to sneak in and make the park more crowded.:rotfl2: Just telling what we experienced.:flower3: They were NOT using them that week.

Lots of restaurants are open during EMH - Hoping someone can chime in with exactly what.. :)

If I remember right, most of the table service restaurants remain open and the majority of the counter service locations (but not all).

I hope I can get an answer to this...I have tried posting it before with no luck...

MGM has a EMH in the am the day we are planning to go...Sept 15th. During the time we are there, MGM is doing the Playhouse Disney Concerts (not the regular attraction with Bear...but a series of performances..Doodlebops, Johnny and the Sprites etc). Hard tickets for these performances are given out on a first come first serve basis.

Here is the question...If the park opens up early for the EMH, will these tickets be given out during EMH or will they be given out at the regular scheduled openning time? Question being...if they did first come, first serve starting during the EMH...Sooo...in theory if the tickets go fast, all non-disney resort guests would not be able to get these tickets. If they waited until the regular openning time, everyone would have equal opportunity to get the tickets...

So what do you think.....tickets dispersed during EMH or waiting until "official" openning?

Thanks. Even though we are going to be staying on-site and I have the opportunity to do the EMH, if I can save myself the trouble of NOT doing the EMH start time, (can you tell I don't like am EMH) and still get tickets to the show, I would be most happy!

Thanks again. Fingers are crossed for an answer.
