EMH parking nightmare?

Just wondering if you EMH experts can help out. What's the verdict? Is it worth taking the chance to drive your own car to EMH parks. How many of you have had problems with this showing up early only to be told the parking lot would not be open for "a few minutes" I actually wrote an email to disney asking what the policy is and was told they always "plan" to have the parking lots open early for EMH but ...and this is a quote... "if someone doesn't show up for work" they might not open on time. Anyway not the type of response i'm used to getting from them but ANYWAY what's your opinion anyone had problems with EMH parking...thanks

Don't drive to AK on EMH morning. The parking lot opens just before the park does. Take your resort bus that morning.

Thats an interesting question. I've never been able to get up early enough to make it to morning EMH. We always have a rental car and drive to the parks (unless we have hotel boat or monorail service). I'll have to keep this in mind in case I ever get up early enough.

We have had the same problem at EPCOT, even on a regular opening time day.

I never thought about this. We just decided to drive ourselves to the park because of having to take strollers on bus and possibly having to wait a long time for a bus. We are planning on going to EMH at MK on Fri and have PS at Breakfastosaurus before AK opens. What should we do? Help.

Wow! This has never happened to us and never even occured to me it could be a problem.

We always drive to AK or EPCOT for EMH. We just did it last month and we have been doing it for years (twice per year usually). I have NEVER arrived and had the parking lot closed!

This year we got to AK about 15-20 minutes before the EMH opening time. I think we were at Epcot only 5-10 minutes early.

I would suggest we6clarks rethink their plan to drive to the AK for an early PS at Donald's. The AK parking lot is notorious for not opening until shortly before park opening. The line of cars just keeps building until then. Definitely take the Disney bus from your resort to the AK. Please note that although Cast Members on the phone and at your resort front desk will tell you there are no early buses DO NOT BELIEVE THEM!!!! Disney runs early buses to get guests to their early breakfasts and tours. Just be at your bus stop 45 minutes before your PS.
As for the MK, you cannot drive there anyway. You must park at the TTC and possibly take a tram first, depending of how far back you are parked. Then you must take either the boat or monorail over the the MK. I would again suggest you take the Disney bus from your resort. The bus drops you right at the entrance of the Magic Kingdom.
