If so how is that verified at the parks?

There are no hotel plaza resorts offering EMH.

Only Disney resorts and the Swan and Dolphin have it.

We avoid EMH at all costs - don't sweat it!

They check by scanning a magic band of someone in your party.

At Swan/Dolphin last year (haven't stayed at them since November and didn't use EMH on that visit) the cast members who scanned magic bands just glanced at our room keys for the Dolphin.

The Hilton did for years,but dropped it this year.

That leaves the WDW Resorts,Swan/Dolphin,Shades of Green and Golden Oak.
