EMH? Do you avoid?

Some advice I have read is to avoid the park that offers the morning EMHs? Does anyone feel that park is more crowded because of offering the EMH? Do you intentionally avoid the parks with EMH's?

Does the same hold true for the evening EMH's? We went to the MK last year during the evening EMH and I felt we were able to go on a lot of rides with a very short wait (in July no less) - however, on that particular night there was a light rain - so that may be why the crowds were less.

We stay on site and try to take advantage of the morning EMH whenever we can. If I was not staying on site then I would avoid the EMH park for that day, or if you were determined to be there, get there before the official opening time. These parks do get crowded.
I have not been there since the night time EMH was instituted, but it seems to me that at least for the first hour or so, if the park was already crowded, that it would remain so for a while. Slowly people would start to leave and the lines would get shorter. And don't forget, that although they can't go on rides, people with out the wristbands can stay in the park and wander around. May add to the feel of being crowded.

We are morning people so we ALWAYS go to the morning EMH. The parks don't start to get crowded until around 11:00ish and by then we have been there 3 hours and have hit all the "big name" rides and a lot of the other rides. We break for lunch around 1:00 and then head back to the hotel. Then we hit a different park in the early evening.

However, we don't go to the evening EMH. Those tend to be more crowded and there is no way to "get ahead" of those crowds. Just my 2 cents...

We always have good luck with the morning EMH...especially at MK. We get right on most of the rides, and by the time the park starts getting crowded, we are ready to leave. I wouldn't stay in an EMH park for the day though.

This is exactly what we always do too. I really think that we ride more in the first couple of hours of early entry than the rest of the day. We also leave the early entry park right after lunch, take a break at the hotel and then head to a different park. We also have never done the evening EMH due to having smaller children.

We do am and pm EMH, but not on the same day as it makes for too long of a day.

We do am EMH and leave when:
a. It gets too crowded (when the day guests arrive)
b. We've hit everything we wanted too
c. It's time for a rest/nap/swim

While we've done pm EMH, we haven't stayed to closing so I can't speak for late-late hours, but for the 1st hour or 2, it's really nice because the lines for the attractions are much shorter. Many "day guests" are still in the park for a while, but they can't ride anything.

we actually like EMH evening hours. We always go in august, which is really hot, so in the EMH evenings the park is much more comfortable temp wise, so we can stroll MK or Epcot and not sweat like crazy

We did EMH the second day we were at Disney. We walked around most of the day at MK and then went to Epcot for dinner and then went back to our hotel and showered/relaxed. Then right at closing we headed back to MK for EMH and stayed until almost 2 a.m. and had a wonderful time. We waited to go on all the "kiddie" type rides until then so we literally WALKED ONTO It's a Small World, Mad Teaparty, Snow White, Pooh ride, etc. We pretty much stayed in Fantasyland and there were NO LINES. It was wonderful. I cannot say what Space Moutain was like or any of that but if you are at all interested in the kids rides that worked out well for us.
We were going to do EMH for Animal Kingdom but we got there at opening and go right on Everest and then the park just kept filling up more and more and by noon it was unbearable to be there so around 2 we left.
MGM was similar experiance to Animal Kingdom in terms of crowds. We went around 10 in the morning and the crowds just got worse and worse. We watched Fantasmic and left before the EMH that night. Too many people.
I almost think the EMH are not worth it except maybe for MK where the rides are more spread out and there is more room.
This was just my personal experiance.

We avoid the park that has the morning EMH. We do attend the EMHs at the MK when they are in the evening.

On our last visit I actually took note of which park had the evening EMH and then visited that park the next morning. All those late night people were still in bed. We also have a small child. It worked for us :sunny: ;)

We avoid the morning EMH's...in other words we are too lazy to get out of bed that early lol  :teeth:
