EMH appear to be completely different for 2016 as compared to 2015.

Comparing EMH days and dates, parks morning and evening, it appears that they've completely been changed for 2016. It also appears that they're not as many EMH days per park per week as there were in 2015. I know they will add more and extend hours during holidays, etc., though the EMH days/times for each park, fit our normal touring plans a whole lot better in 2015 then as they are currently scheduled for during our upcoming trip in 2016.

It also seems like they have moved the evening EMH to weekdays only... which is disappointing for my long weekend trips. I miss the Saturday night MK EMH :(

IMO it is somewhat understandable. On nights that we have gone EMH's seem to have fewer and fewer people. It has to be a strain on scheduling from CM's in Parks to drivers, etc.

We love the EMH on Saturdays as well at MK. We make the most of that night. Ugh, not a fan of all these changes.

We have gone the same weeks in consecutive years and the EMH have never remained consistent from year to year.

A few years back they also had both morning and evening EMH (two different parks) every single day. We would go to the AM EMH rope drop each day of our vacation and attend the evening EMHs at MK as well. This past June trip I think we only wound up with one EMH that worked for us.

We like staying onsite for other reasons, but if EMH access was your main draw for doing so it's becoming much less appealing.

I just did my adr's for June into July and noticed the same thing. I didn't think I was going to get a mk emh and we are here for 10 nights! It is very less frequent overall.

Getting all my adr's was scarey easy this time too. I even got bog for lunch for a party of 7 at the exact time I wanted. This will be the first time I ever got bog for a larger party without some help.

Well, with FP+ allowing such awesome access to rides, do we even need EMH any more? :cool2:

I would say yes, because we're still going to ride stand-by on the majority of attractions we do and from what I've heard, the standby lines have been incredibly long for almost all of the major attractions throughout each day.

I was joking. :) I think EMH is more important than ever given how much harder it is to access major attractions since the change to FP+. It stinks if they are indeed cutting back. But if people continue to fill the hotel rooms with a lesser EMH schedule, I'm sure we can expect even more cutbacks.

Just wondering where you are finding EMH days for December 2016? We are going October 2016 and I'd like to find this info too. Thanks

Knowing Disney, expect these to change before December.

They like to keep everyone guessing :rolleyes1

I would go by Jan/Feb EMH since those are closer. We've had EMH change just weeks before our past trips. But this could be a way to cut costs to help pay for MM+. Maybe they envisioned phasing out EMH as a money saving advantage when deciding on MM+. However, as Disney changes they're strategy, so are we. One of our kids has a disability, but we had never used GAC until our most recent trip. We always got to the parks late (usually after 5pm) to avoid crowd and heat (which are hard on my kid), used old FP and the multiple EMH (to avoid long lines that my kid wouldn't handle) to do what we needed to do. But thats not possibly anymore. With the limited FP options and EMH being tweeted down, we have to use GAC so that we can arrive earlier and do more than a handful of rides. As it stands, we only averaged about 7-8 rides a day even using that.

Is the parks closed earlier though? We did a trip in dec 2014 where there was almost no EMH but the parks were open just as late as if there was one. The experience with crowds was amazing and park hours were just as late.

Not seeing them for Dec. 2016 yet, though they will be basically like they are throughout all of 2016, with the exception that a few more extended hours will be added.
