EMERGENCY TRIP Jan/Feb I need your HELP!!!!!!

Hello fellow DISers,

I just found out that my Sister's X has decided not to take their 6 yr DD on the trip he PROMISED her. Now my sis is in a panic, and wants to plan a short trip so her daughter isn't heart broken. But my sis doesn't really have the money for a vacation so I'm trying to help her find the best way to get my niece to WDW on a shoe string!

I just got back from my trip in Dec a few weeks ago and so I haven't been following codes, AP rates, etc.

Can anyone get me up to speed real quick?

I have an AP and might go with her so we could get a good rate (and me and DS could take advantage of our APs). We could go as early as Jan 25, or as late as March sometime. But my thinking is that we should try to hit value season.

If your budget is tight then the values are the best for you.

Check out the rates at www.mousesavers.com. I believe the Jan AP rate is $49 a night for a standard or $79 for a moderate

We are going Jan 30-Feb. Got Pop Century for $49. I would try to get there before peak season starts (I think it's 2/11). I think PC would be a good option. You can save on breakfast and snacks by packing sodas, water, juice, treats, cereal, parmalat(milk) and getting a cooler. If you bring a small 4-cup coffeemaker and coffee-you're set. It's so nice of you to do this for your neice. Remember that you can split meals and order off the kids menus at counter service. Good luck!!!

After the initial panic, Sis and I talked and I think she is going to hold off until Fall for the trip. My little niece will be heartbroken for now, but she will get a well planned, nice trip later.

The $49 for PC sounds wonderful! Hopefully they will run that again in value season next Fall.
